I better bring my Rolex then How did everyone take there dollars? All cash? Travellers cheques? Pre paid card? I was thinking of taking some cash and the rest on a pre paid card, is there a lot of ATMs in Las Vegas to take out cash? I assume the ones in the casinos would charge
Forget the currency card, they are rip off mate .as for Casinos charging at ATMs,I think it's pretty standard over there to charge you anyway.
I usually go all cash,as long as you have a safe in your room you are ok,but I just think those currency cards take the pish with there fees. They usually offer you 25 dollars free on it cause they know they will claw it back in charges You heading to the cosmopolitan fight night on the Friday, 30dollar tickets on sale and its good way. To start the weekend
While its not my scene, cause i look like the guy in the picture ... but Calvin Harris is playing the Wet Republic on the Sunday ...
I arrived in Vegas today and headed to the MGM which was having a press event in the main reception area. Kugan seems to have the same press credentials as Sho PPV, it's bizarre! He was front and centre with the main players. I briefly met Schaeffer and Guererro who had loads of time for his fans. Best bit was talking at length to a Bert Sugar style yank who really knew his ****, had seen Froch pre Taylor etc. a real pleasure to speak to a real boxing buff. The Corona girls look unbelievable in the flesh. I'll post loads more about this week, but maybe once it's all over.....
Visited Mayweather's gym a couple of hours ago ("Mayweather Boxing Club"). It's easy to get to from the strip in 'Chinatown 'and well worth a visit. Was greeted by a massive guy with a TMT Tshirt on asking who I was there to train with. Asked if I could take a look around and he courteously waved me through. Inside its a lot less glossy than it looks in the promo docs and much more like a proper gym, which figures I guess. Both Roger and Jeff were there training fighters. Roger in particular seemed very fit, working very hard and fast on the pads. As you'd expect, virtually every poster and photo in there is of Floyd, except for one "Boxing Legends" Murial. The Hatton fight probably features more prominently than any other. The place has an all business feel to it which is at odds with a lot of the TMT style hype.
I love the Cherry Lounge at the Red Rock, but it's at the other end of the strip. If you eat late, the Pyramid cafe is open 24 hours per day, the best chicken pot pie I have ever eaten. I usually stay at the Red Rock, then go down to the Luxor at the opposite end of the strip.
