Would YOU have fought prime Jones and Anderson twice for the amount of money he did?

I'd fight any man that's ever lived for a few million dollars.

    I think anyone would.

Doesn't impress me anywhere near as much as Wanderlei fighting Crocop, Hunt and Fujita in Pride, or Saku fighting Kimo, Belfort, Rampage, Crocop and more, or Hendo fighting Big Nog and Fedor, or BJ fighting Machida, Hughes, GSP, Fitch and Diaz.

I am a fan of Sonnen now.

After watching dozens of his YT vids and the TUF episodes, I now see he's a better dude than I thought.

Coming from a big Anderson Silva fan.

    sonnen's great.

The inspirational speech about fear of failure and trying something you feel's impossible, that he gave those young kids at the sports club was good.

His wrestling background makes it easy for him to take tough fights and losing. He hates to lose but it's not the end of the world if you add another notch on your loss column.

He said competing in wrestling , sometimes you lose 2-3 times on the same day, and you just have to brush it off and look forward to the next match, and learn something from your loss.

Well he claims to suffer from hypogonadism, so make of that what you will.

In terms of balls on a pro fighter, NOBODY makes Chael look like a *****. :nono

Hate him all you want, but the guy is every bit as much of a real fighter as BJ, Wandy or anyone you care to name.

Chael talked INSANE amounts of **** on the most dominant champion in UFC history, and fought his ass off to back it up. He went right out of his way to antagonize the greatest striker ever seen in the cage, to make Anderson really honestly legitimately hate his guts, and then he fought him twice and got right in his face both times.

He was fully prepared to fight Anderson Silva in a Brazilian stadium full of Brazilians who hate him and wanted to kill him. That is balls.

He was ready and willing to step up a division and fight Jon ****ing Jones on EIGHT DAYS notice, while out of shape, after Jones had a full training camp. If Jones hadn't crashed the event, that would have happened. That is balls.

You can hate his style or his mouth all you want. But Chael will fight anyone, anywhere, at any time. He is one of the ballsiest fighters out there and has shown it repeatedly. In terms of fighting spirit he is right there with BJ and Wandy and whoever else you want to name. :nono

Sonnen is tough as nails, and isn't afraid to throw down. I won't argue against that.

I do think he knew Henderson was hurt beforehand, and Sonnen started stirring **** up just in time to make things interesting. I do believe he was willing to fight Jones on 8 days notice. I also believe he had a little more notice than that. I'm sure he had a little inside info on Hendo's injury.

I think he had some inside info too. I also think that he didn't have anything close to a full camp, and that most fighters would not have even made the offer, let alone been fully prepared to go through with it. :good

    The guy lives wrestling.

He said most fighters prepare for 8 hard weeks for a fight.
He said he's been doing that for 20 yrs straight. No vacation but christmas.

Of course it's a bit exaggerated but I can somehow believe him.

    Same to you, man.

I see lots of similarities with wrestlers in MMA, personality wise.

    great work ethic
    ducks no one
    toughness
    hustle
    fearless
    open to new skills
