I don't see that outburst as a sign of being psychologically weak.

Judah felt disrespected and let it be known. Judah has been around too long to get that kind of shitty treatment especially when he's not the one kicking up dust.

Decent points. Judah does have a shot. But don't overlook Garcia's abilities.

    1. He'll deal with lateral movement by landing effective body shots
    2. Being a southpaw doesn't make Judah unhittable. Look for DG to throw straight rights.
    3. He has excellent timing which can overwhelm Judah's speed.
    4. Danny is able to adapt. And that's what makes him dangerous. He's smarter than what most people credit him for.
    5. Judah's pressure is effective until he gets hit clean. Khan may have a glass jaw but Judah has a glass heart and that's just as bad if not worse.

Btw, sorry but I had to laugh at number 6. Reminds me of a guy who just got a hard-on after watching Rocky Balboa run up a mountain or the like.

Bull**** he's mentally weak in and out of the ring. You're probably new to boxing, next.

I'm not new to boxing, and there's a difference between mental and psychological strength. Zab felt like he was being disrespected, and what i'm trying to do is figure out what actaully happened at the press conference when he was supposedly locked in the basement. maybe he was exaggerating, but DLH did start the press confernece without Zab, so something doesn't add up. i don't think you can really be mentally weak and be a pro boxer. Zab has had a treamendous career and i think for anyone to knock him is ridic. i think more then being mentally weak, one could also argue he's too mentally strong for his own good, that he's so mentally strong that he gets fired up when he feels he was wronged. that's what BHop was telling him, that it's not worth your energy, to save it for the fight.

Poor Zab has all the tools and none of the toughness to capitalize on them - he is more talented but less tough than Ortiz, who can suck it up in one or two fights of his life but no more.

Zab has three good performances: the second Cory Spinks fight, the Mayweather fight, and the Cotto fight. And he lost to all 3 of those men at one time or another. He simply isn't an elite fighter no matter how sharp he looks - his mind will crumble. NEVER bet on Judah at the elite level against a guy who can punch hard or has either speed, toughness, or power on him, no matter what the disparity in skill.

He stacks up badly under pressure.

In my opinion he has NEVER won against a near elite fighter. Luckily, Garcia is not elite, but he's tough.

The only thing that makes me want to say maybe Judah has a chance is that Garcia sucks awfully, both in technical boxing skill and his lame overtelegraphed punch variety, but his intangibles are great.

One of the strangest things about boxing is simply that guys like Darchinyan and Tszyu, who do nothing special, make it look like an easy sport at time: step back, land a hard shot, time the opponent, avoid punishment, repeat. Zab looks like he is doing so much in his training, in his fights, but those flashy combinations hide that he is actually more one dimensional than those "plodders" - he can lose rounds to pressure guys like Baldomir because his flash is often ineffective and does not let him avoid taking beatings.

Contrary to popular belief Judah is extremely good

Which is why he can always get a fight like this. He's always in a position to spring himself back into popular conversation

Based on all of his skills, and the fact that he's good enough to be an ATG or popular fighter, but not mentally driven enough to withstand rough patches and keep on going

i think Garcia does somethings well but is overated...i had the ghost of erik morales boxing his tits off n thought garcia won but the scorecards shoulda been far closer... zab has all the talent in the world but your walkin the tightrope betting on him , zab could show up take garcia apart because he's a far better boxer....or he could get hit with a deecnt shot and crumble.
i wanna say judah just cos i hate Angel Garcia but i think he once again will not show up.

I believe the fight is decided by a simple factor and that is Judahs jab. I believe that is the reason he will lose.

I agree with thread-starter 99% except for the reality that Garcia is going to KNOCK ZAB THE FACK OUT tomorrow night.
