I recently had Foxtel installed 'cos of crap free to air coverage of AFL...not to mention I enjoy Racing & Boxing and couldn't give a **** about the rest of crap available @ 60 bucks per month. There was 3 ways they could connect me:- (a) Phone landline (b) Dish (c) Cable Given I already drive ADLS 2 via landline I opted for dish 'cos I live on upper floor of Seniors Village. No drama 'til technician lifted a few roof tiles & spotted big fat carpet snake snoozing, which naturally concluded proceedings LOL! Next bloke figured drilling though a bit of concrete & bricks was the way to go to install cable into my joint....and it took him all of 60 minutes In the event I move, which I doubt, I'll be able to connect IQ Box via internet connection FOC. Other connection would set me back another 72 bucks.
Yeh we own this place and ain't moving any time soon. I've had Foxtel here before a couple years ago (dish is still there) but pissed it off because it costs too much. I was only watching boxing and the missus was watching mainly FTA, it didn't seem worth keeping. Now I'm so pissed that I'm missing all the local stuff, I'm having withdrawals. :nut The Xbox seemed like a cheaper alternative.
