It was released on Golden Boy's Youtube channel the other day. Not many views, which is weird. [yt]DAC4xifjyb8#![/yt]
"not many views" Sums up how the promotion for this event has gone. Nonetheless, a Floyd fight is not to be missed.
I'm still miffed about: No press tour. All these other little fights only boxing fans know about got the treatment. Who cares how late it was put together, they could've squeezed something in. This has been absolutely horrific and there's no buzz at all. If Floyd actually does a million on this, I'd have to say he's a bigger draw than Mike Tyson was, particularly at the same stage of their "PPV careers". This fight is riding neither on or off of absolutely nothing aside from a minor jail sentence.
Cant get excited for this fight until this weekends fights are over Normally before a Mayweather fight there is a drought so I look forward to it These couple of months before the Floyd fights we've had action packed fights so its hard to get excited about the Floyd fight until the week of the fight
That's not how you define draw though. Floyd is a mega PPV Star. Tyson was a mega star. There is a difference. If you know about the 90's a case can actually be made that even Riddick Bowe was more of a house hold name than Floyd Mayweather JR is today. From 92-95, Bowe's name was every bit as big as every NBA star not name Jordan. The world knew Bowe more so than they knew Floyd. In terms of PPV Draw.. ya in today's era and marketability strategy. Floyd is a mega star.. But I am positive if you had Holyfield-Bowe in today's marketing era of PPV.. 24.7.. all that virtual hype as well.. They will do 3 million+ Buys in today's PPV. Prime Tyson in today's era against David Haye will do at least 4 million buys. Tyson was 10x the name Floyd ever was or ever will be. Floyd would also lose to 99% of Tyson's resume. I don't see Prime Tyson losing to anyone on Pac or Floyd's resume. I will be shocked if anyone Pac or Floyd fought can win a round against Prime Tyson. Very very shocked.
Yeah, I know Felix. But the public even got sick of Tyson. They say he sold because "people love to see a train wreck". Funny thing is, he dropped to meager 400-600 K numbers AFTER Holyfield II until the Lewis fight was finally made. 1.99 purchased the Holy rematch without any clue Tyson would bite someone's ear off in the middle of the ring. Floyd could also similarly take a big hit until they give the public a Canelo fight. He isn't going to be hurting thanks to that guarantee, it's SHO who loses.
:good Good points. I misread. I thought you meant Floyd was a bigger star than Prime Tyson lol. Ya.. Floyd will have to win 8 rounds to even beat Canelo though. It makes zero sense to award a semi close fight even to an aging star as oppose to a young future cash cow. Not to mention Canelo is a very very big Irish fighter..(body wise) I think Floyd will lose. You should check out the Wilder fight against Harrison. deal.. I heard that he got 27 straight knock outs. :rofl
No one check Golden Boy's YT channel. A lot of their videos have low views. I'd think if Mayweather would have tweeted it out, it'd have bigger viewing numbers.
What is this MayDay **** about? What the ****? The little diva thinks he's special or what? ****! Im gonna watch because I wanna see Ponce De Leon... It's Ponce day!! Ahhh Void...
