Wait so am I right in thinking Fury has been dropped twice by decent fighters and people are making a big deal over his chin but Wilder has been dropped twice against club fighter journeymen?

 

That's pretty bad look at his legs in the second gif, I don't think his punch resistance is good especially for a Heavyweight. If he can master distance it would definitely improve his chances for a title.

 

Funny you put Helenius on that list when Fury apparently bashed him in sparring.

 

I think its more the style of punch he was hit with, the fact that the people who put him down arent big punchers and the way he went down. Hes an accident waiting to happen imo.

Both punches that dropped Fury were huge overhand rights though, that landed clean on the button and he didn't see coming. In both the Pajic and Cunningham fights he turned up as though he didn't seem interested which is the big problem because against a better fighter if he turns up like that he will lose.

Well if Tyson Fury has a glass chin it must be made of bullet resistant glass if Wilder's is only regular glass. By no means am I saying Fury has a great chin but he's only been dropped twice pro/am there are a lot more questions about Wilder.

 

Both times Fury got dropped it was because he was square on. I don't think he has looked hurt as such, despite the two KD's.

He is sloppy defensively, with poor balance. That's about it as far as I'm concerned.

 

I thought he looked badly hurt against Cunnigham, and didn't show particularly quick recovery powers. It was a heavy knockdown and he was close to being stopped. That said, the poor defence and balance are both correctable/improvable.

 

Just because they are heavyweights doesn't make them decent heavyweights.
