Campbell was one of those guys who got underrated because of the knockout loss to Robbie Peden (the famous one). But he was a remarkably skilled, old-school fighter in the Hopkins mould. He beat some quality guys, including Juan Diaz in a serious upset.

I seem to remember that, other than falling out with King, he failed to make weight for his next fight. He gave up the titles and that seemed to be it for his career. He had desultory fight with Bradley, where he seemed to back out after getting cut, and that was him done.

It was the Funeka fight where failed to make weight but before that he was due to fight someone else (might have been Guzman) for a decent payday and that fell apart when the opponent didn't make weight. After that he got really pissed off at King.

The Diaz fight was excellent and he just knew too much for hiim. Outhustled him on the inside.
