I don't understand how people are impressed with Garcia's Performance tonight, He had little trouble with an Old Zab Judah, he is good at everything but not great at anything. Also if he wants to get better he should hire a real trainer, he is not going to get any better under Angel Garcia

Khan also wasn't impressive today either- If Garcia and Khan were to fight again Garcia would Win but he would definitely lose to Peterson and Maybe Lucas As well.

I thought he looked good overall but had a bad lapse towards the end but it ain't like Danny is being heralded as a top 10 p4p fighter or anything.

Hey, I agree with you entirely, but Danny still looked like a ****ing zombie. He had virtually no head movement and was eating some good shots. I've been repeating on this board. If he faces a puncher, he's done. I was not at all impressed with Garcia. I say Peterson will come out on top in the tourney. I'm not impressed with Matthysse either.

I think so. Danny had some sustained body work that really hurt Zab and set him up for the bigger shots. Zab really didn't test Danny's ribs enough. He couldn't get in close he had to stay on the outside.

:deal:deal, Agree Matthysse lost twice when he faced decent opposition, I don't know why he is so hyped on this forum. But Peterson? He is the real deal, I say he is the best 140

Garcia did great tonight, he did make some mistakes in the closing stages of the fight, but the guy is a warrior and put on an entertaining performance.

Was to be expected that the aqueer fanboys would be hating on Garcia, but it really only magnifies their stupidity. Aqueer barely squeaked out a win against a washed up journeyman coming down in weight and was hurt multiple times.

I would favor Lucas over Danny too, but I think you're being harsh. How did he look like a zombie flooring Zab and stunning him twice?

Garcia landed his right early and often; mixing up his targeting area between both Judah's head and body. He looked physically strong and his punches were accurate. Overall I was impressed.

He however has plenty of room to improve in multiple areas, particularly with his footwork and inside fighting. If he wasn't so slow footed he could have created more opportunities and angles to finish Judah off the multiple times he had him hurt. I also would like to he him utilize the uppercut when tangling on the inside.

You know what was most impressive about Danny's knockdown, which really turned out to be the difference in the fight. (that KD doesn't happen, and Zab wins that round, Zab wins a split decision or it's a draw)

what was most impressive about that KD was the fact that Zab landed a huge punch right before that, and Danny was able to quickly counter before Zab could get out of range. And Zab had both hands up and blocking, but Zab seemed to be off balance not expecting the location of that counter. it seemed to catch Zab between the guard. simply amazing knockdown, because it suprised Zab. I thought two other times Danny landed much harder punches and Zab nearly went down but somehow stayed up.

zab was in really good shape, he took a lot of huge bombs to the midsection, and he was able to sustain some aggression in the last 3 rounds. I don't know Danny too well, and maybe it was cause he was fighting a southpaw, but his jab is really slow. But he is definately a good fighter. I saw some very impressive countering by Danny tonite.

It's Zab Judah for goodness sake's. The guy is pretty damn chinny to begin with. He got floored by Lucas Matthysse too, but that doesn't mean Matthysse won the fight or looked good.

Danny was flat-footed the whole night, slow, and his defense had a lot of holes, especially towards the latter rounds. I am probably over-exaggerating with the zombie comment (he did better than Matthysse), but I thought he was slow as all hell.

Look, I was picking Garcia to win this fight. I am still not impressed with him, though. I wasn't impressed when he was almost out-boxed by a mummy Morales, and I'm still not impressed with his victory over an old Zab Judah.

I mean I don't mind anyone disagreeing with me; I lost a pretty good amount betting on Guerrero to beat Quillin, but I see Peterson winning this little tourney. He looks like the most complete fighter. We'll see how the Matthysse fight goes, though.
