Khan should retire based on him getting hurt? He's the most exciting fighter in BB!

He's had a very good career, he is on the decline.

In a rematch i reckon even maidanna beats him...

Cant see where he go's from here...

Maybe come back to the UK, build up fan base, bring big names here...

I think it was lack of confidence that played a big factor too last night

I don't see this 'most exciting fighter in britain'a couple on here do,I see a decent world class fighter, with flaws.
A exciting fighter is someone who can punch, has good movement ,has a good array of punches in his arsenal ,can take a shot,be hurt and recuperate quickly.
Khan has none of the above:smooch
Just Because he could get sparked at any moment in any fight does not make a exciting fighter,if a Few on here want to believe that makes a exciting fighter,so be it

  5. he actually looked quite good for a few rounds after he got dropped

he just needs to start and finish like that- but his IQ makes it hard I suppose

He isn't world class, he is a very mediocre fighter who has exceptional speed. When that starts to go he will be getting hit (and hurt) a lot more than he is now, as a consequence he will be on the end of more stoppage losses in the future.

I don't think he should retire now, ok he is taking punches but that's part of the game, just that Khan is very easy to hurt so it looks like he is getting more of a beating than he really is. Getting briefly hurt and stopped is much better than being hit with heavy shots for a full 12 rounds, sometimes having a great chin is really not good for your health.

There is always that danger that as his handspeed (his only world level attribute) diminishes Khan becomes the stepping-stone guy, the former world level, big name fighter with not much power who is seen as easily beatable for young hungry fighters, the guy who offers big rewards with very little risk. That's a bad place for him to be IMO and he should call it a day before that happens.

Agreed mate. I think Khan should fight Brook maybe. He has one or two exciting fights left in him no doubt but he looks like he's on the downward spiral now.

I feel really sorry for the guy, I've given him so much **** over the years but I really didn't wanna see him go out with a KO loss to Julio Diaz, it's a roller coaster ride watching him fight thats for sure

something very off about him last night, I know he was trying to be more patient and cautious but it really didn't work in his favour, he's also a sucker for that counter right hand when he walks in behind the jab, he's still predictable, and he was getting hit even more because he wasn't throwing as many combinations as usual

Completely agree with that. I was rooting for him in the Olympics, but after that I have been rooting against him/for his opponent since day 1 of his professional career, I was actually kind of gutted after he lost to Garcia!
I didn't like the silly idea of bulking him up, not much point in my opinion. I think the problem with Khan is as well that he will always switch of on occasion during fights and he will always have a weak chin.

The thing Khan really had going for him is that he'd come out at 100mph and his opponents would be scared to throw coz he'd counter almost everything. I think they have Khan thinking too much, which is what opponents want. He isn't starting as fast but he's fading just as much as he was too.
