Khan/Garcia

Personally I do not want to see it.

Rather see Lucas M destroy Khan.

3. Can't see a result any different to last time out. I thought Khan should have been a heavy favourite before the 1st fight but I underestimated Garcia's ability and also think Khan is not the same fighter he was a few years ago when he was dominating Judah/Malignaggi etc. That version of Khan I would favour vs. Danny but today's version, nah.

 

Garcia would win again, hopefully he will have to fight Mathysse for the 'chance' to fight Khan.

 

I wonder what Angel will have to say about Matthysse?

I always thought that Khan would be able to work his way to a points win or a late stoppage win if they thought again, but last night he didn't look good at all, seemed an all round poor performance from him and can only see a Garcia KO now

 

Can see it happening to be honest. Before I thought it was a closeish fight that I gave the edge to Garcia cause of power. Could imagine Khan beating him though.

Now after last night I think Amir would get stopped easy. Garcia's power isn't breathtaking, it's good but couldn't punch through walls. I just don't think Amir's chin or defence is up to it now though. His best chance would be to go for a Peterson rematch. That was one of FsOTY for 2011 and both guys have a grudge against each other plus Lamont isn't a heavy hitter either really (good stoppage against Holt though). Would be good.

 

Pointless fight.

Khan will come out and outbox Garcia for 2 rounds whilst looking like his clock could be cleaned at any moment.

Khan will throw a sloppy punch, Garcia will throw a counter left hook and clean his clock.

Nobody needs to see that, too much of a foregone conclusion.

 

Hope it does happen but i think Khan will do well to see the halfway point. Khans punch resistance is detiorating with every fight and his speed looked to of dramatically slowed last night as well. Garcia will find him with a big shot some where along the way and it will be Bambi on ice all over again

 

I disagree with all those saying Khan is looking slower i think he's just trying to think about his work now rather than throwing 4-5 punch combo's and leaving himself wide open problem is he's still open! Anyone who faces Khan now knows the left hook is the key to beating him and you just need to walk through him for 3 rounds till he doesn't know what else to do.

 

Problem for Khan is, he can't win this on boxing skill alone, he is going to have to show some power to get Garcia off him, and he's not shown that, against a limited puncher like Diaz. He just kept coming for Khan. Garcia will just time him and boom! Khan won't be able to discourage Garcia at all. There lies the problem.

Also the fact he's too upright and time and time again has his chin high up in the air. he does that most at the end of combinations. When he throws a jab, fine, even a one two, but when he tries to throw threes and fours, he's off balance, gets his feet muddled up and has that chin out high.

If he at least had some upper body movement/head movement he could get off a few shots whilst still slipping to avoid getting clipped but he moves in to range and then stays there! takes too long to get his gloves up. Just don't like how he's so upright, if he's going to fight this style, slowing the pace down etc, he needs to be able move more than just his feet, because he's not always going to get out of range quick enough against a guy who is throwing big shots. He just keeps circling or going in and out in a straight line. He was a bit better with his movement and he was thinking about it more, but his limitations will always mean he is extremely vulnerable to the big countering hooks.

 

Khan doesnt deserve a world title fight. Garcia will finish him once and for all, Khan is finished at the top level.

Rios or Alvarado would retire Khan for sure. Hope one of them get him and a big pay day.

 

Left hook will land on Khan all night, and that is Garcia's best shot. Same result as their first fight.
