martinez was hitting gloves all night and i feel murray did more than enough in sturms back yard to win when he held the title. where does everyone rate murray in terms of current british fighters? id have him as our best middleweight and in terms of british p4p the only fighters i can think of atm that id have above him are haye , froch and burns

IMO Murray is our best Middleweight. Been saying it for donkeys that he's the real deal but everyone spouting the usual he's too slow, has no power bull**** bla bla bla.

i agree if this fight was on neutral ground and scored without bias including the 2 knock downs murray is champ. Hes definatly our best middleweight, he topped macklin and barkers performances easily.

I had him 1 up but dont think it was bad as everyone made out very unluck and deserved the win but wasnt a robbery like abril v rios or anything. very unlucky to have the knockdowns not given

    Just a ****ish post:

If fights were score correctly he would have lost to Sturm.

He put up a good effort but couriously never forced things i nthe championship rounds.Still good effort though.

I had Murray beating Sturm. He's in two close battles, but defiantly deserved the nod in one of them.

It's a good thing so many armchair judges are here to set the record straight. If Murray had finished stronger he could have left no doubts.

They are. He was hitting arms and gloves a lot of the time.

He got hurt by a left, I think and was a bit more wary. He just didn't have the engine to keep pressing.

  12. All three judges had it even going into the last two rounds, the championship rounds and the champion pulled it out.

For what its worth i had it 114-113 martinez, if that second kd had of been called it would've been a draw. Murray simple didn't do enough to take the title
