Hearn will jump on this and be on the phone to south africa Dont believe that his opponent will be better than van heerdon because he wont
There's nothing wrong with this fight if it's true. I'd happily watch it. Van Heerden's best win is Hatton, Brook's second best win is Hatton so it's not like they're poles apart. Brook isn't as proven as people seem to think he is, so a fight like this isn't bad at all. Van Heerden would likely lose but it's good preparation for a world title fight.
Khan is a multiple world champion, Brook has never fought a world class fighter. In what way are those two comparable, outside of your Khan obsessed mind?
Iv got tickets to the hull show and was actually quite hoping it was true because as a 'keep busy' fight i think it would be good
Ill be going to the hull show too. Think it'd be a decent fight really although obviously I'd prefer Alexander. Brook is still mandatory, despite what team Khan and saj aka the poor mans watson brother says
The fact that he hasn't fought a world class fighter is pretty laughable. He's been a pro for eight and a half years. Eight. He first won the British title nearly five years ago! Even taking into consideration his recent misfortune he has had plenty of other opportunities to test himself against better opposition. His career has been to date, a wasted opportunity, and it is perfectly reasonable to criticise/mock him for a succession of underwhelming opponents.
Have people actually considered that kell was held back by certain promoters ? Fought the same guy 3 times in a year. Offered a title fight at 154
I've no doubt he's had issues with promoters and injuries (of late), whilst not helping his own career with some dubious conduct outside the ring, but the fact remains that he's been a pro for 8 and a half years, and he's fought no one of note. His career is becoming a bit of a joke - he needs to take some risks from here on in.
