Remember this lad from the Jamie Moore Ringside Peacock Gym special?

Everybody was saying that they didn't believe the hype with regard to his 'Mayweather padwork' and an inactive amateur career including a loss to Jack Bateson

After seeing these sparring sessions in Vegas with way, way more experienced guys, he's starting to make my ear's ***** up. He looks to be a right talent.

What do you all think? Impressed or not?

Not massively impressed to be honest.

Yeah, he looks pretty good for an 18 year old but I don't see anything that says he's a hot prospect in these videos. Wasn't impressed with his opponents in the 1st and 3rd video either.

I wish him well though and hope he proves me wrong - seems like a nice kid.

The little I've seen of Jack Bateson that you mention as beating him in the ams, he looks a very good fighter.

The padwork that he does with Tunde is a bit of a gimic and I wasnt impressed either. Let's see the lad in a few pro fights and then we can make some assessments.

  8. Yeah I need convincing

Im not a believer in somebody shouting before proving themselves

Not that many for a lad of his age, He's been kept back to spar and spars 3 rounds per week. Something like that and it's all because Mayweather did this and there keeping him fresh. They claim people wouldn't fight him when he was a AM although i've been told different.

To me it's just catting Mayweather, Saba's clearly got some talent but for a 18 year old he's not sensational just pretty decent.

thought he looked good, nice and relaxed and his timing looks good, ive seen some real talents in sparring that cant do it when it counts, but it will be good to see how he gets on

    I agree, Curtis.

He looks to be talent the way he picks his shots and evades shots himself. He doesn't look physically developed enough yet at all. He must be 5ft10 and only about 120lbs or something. But as you say if he can take what he's doing in sparring to fighting he looks a talent.
