I doubt it, Matthysse has to much power for it to be as exciting as Rios-Alvarado 2 or Bradley-Ruslan, if Danny trades with Lucas he'll go to sleep, Zab had him funny what 3 times I believe maybe 4. I have high hopes for Peterson if Lucas beats Peterson he beats Danny.
Matthysse was guaranteed a title fight against the winner of Garcia/Judah fight, but instead, Matthysse will have to fight Peterson (who tested positive for roids and got away with it) this fight is to protect Garcia as they will try to cheat Matthysse out of a win no matter what. The referee and judges will do all they can to help Peterson. No drug tests for Peterson? Would not surprise me at all. I would pick Matthysse to knock Garcia out and they know it. So........they will have Peterson to run like Hell, take points away from Matthysse, and do anything else to cheat him. Matthysse has already beaten Judah and Alexander, but was cheated. Matthysse will have to get a knockout to get a draw. They want to keep Matthysse away from Garcia..............
I would love to see this fight, but as you said more skills will lead to less action than Rios v Alvardo. I can imagine it not heating up until the middle rounds.
It'd be exciting without question, but I don't know about FOTY. Especially not this year with Bradley-Provodnikov. Garcia has a fan in me, though, and I think he's a damn good fighter with room to grow, but I also see Matthysse's style as being really bad for Garcia. I just picture him forcing Garcia back and wearing him down with a consistent offensive onslaught to the body and the head. Coupled that with his one-punch power and I don't think it bodes too well for Danny.
I took a ban bet so yall can't rub it in, but if Matthysse beats Peterson he will run through Garcia Zab shook him so Lucas will knock him out, that's just a fact.
Straight lifetime ban bet, it kind of got ruined because a bunch of alts showed up and took it and I haven't seen a single one of those alts on since than, I'm pretty confident in Peterson though, I think very highly of Bradley so I don't view that loss as anything that takes away from Lamont.
I said this in a post yesterday. Garcia is very beatable but I could see this being a real slugfest if Lucas allows himself to be drawn and has Garcia in trouble.
Lucas would destroy Rios from the outside.. and probably match him on the inside... Garcia would do better on the outside and have that left hook as a threat on the inside.. If Peterson tries to inside fight Lucas and brawl it will end badly.
