So UFC isn't a sport? :huh You know UFC has rules right? There's rounds, time limits, weight classes, etc. You can't headbutt, hit in the nuts , stomp , etc. Therefore, it's not all encompassing. It would have be no rules / regulations , i.e. street fighting to fit your definition.

 

why do these people let mma **** them off so much that they have to go to an mma forum? i suppose its because they're just so smart.

to be fair to Haye -

a) Haye broken his toe before the fight - and its hard to box with a foot injury.
b) Jones broke his toe during the fight - adrenaline pumping, he couldn't even feel it - and he didn't look so great when he finally saw it lol! Dude looked like he was about to throw up.

FACT: You are a complete ****ing idiot. UFC is a SPORT just like boxing. 80 percent of all street fights end up on the ground? That is a dumb ****ing myth that is not true at all. Going to the ground in a street fight is ****ing stupid, you're not fighting on a matt in a street fight, ur fighting on ****ing concrete with rocks,debris, and sometimes glass. Taking a fight to the ground in a street fight will likely get your own elbow or leg broken, not to mention the fact that the other guy can poke out your eyes, knee your nuts, and do other dirty things that aren't allowed in UFC. UFC is a sport like any other, it is not the same as street fighting with no rules.

90 percent of street fights start with both guys standing up throwing punches and end with one guy getting koed or running. In a street fight the best and safest thing you do is maintain your distance because you never know if the other guy has a knife or a weapon. That's why boxing is the best and has always been. Most importantly, in a street fight your not wearing GLOVES you dip****, which means the punches will hurt and do a LOT more damage. A boxer will destroy any other fighter on the planet in a street fight with his fists, plain and simple. :smoke

IMO UFC is for beer drinking rednecks who can't survive the hardwork and dedication required for boxing, so they go and start their own thing, which is far easier but makes far less money. Not to mention that it looks g@y as hell, despite what excuses you guys come up with. Half naked grown men in underwears wrapping their legs around each others necks, sweating on each other, face sitting on each other, smelling each others pubic sweat, rolling around in the missionary or doggy position, and smelling the other guys sweaty toes...... Don't know about u guys but for me that's g@y as hell, no matter how the **** u look at it. :scaredas:

Only time I watch UFC is when the fighters are women. I don't mind seeing Gina Carano in a 69 position at all. :hey

I love these posts from guys who paint boxers as supermen who are impossible to close the distance on. Another thing with boxing, it teaches you to punch with terrible form bc of the gloves. It's why Tyson always broke his hand in street fights.

 

Yeah right....So you think mma fighters throw better punches than boxers?Makes total sense.Coaches still teach boxers to punch with the knuckles even though they wear gloves.If Tyson broke his hands in street fights its because the bones in the hands are really fragile and the contact is bones on bones...And probably because he hit too damn hard!

If you think boxing is closer resembling street fights than mma idk what to tell you. The distance gets closed real quick and there's a lot more dirty boxing than tèxtbook boxing.

all the **** about how wrestling isn't effective bc of concrete is also ****. I split the back of a guys head open last year in a parking lot when drunk bc I tossed him and promptly elbowed him when he grabbed my wrists. Getting slammed on a hard surface can be a fight ender too.

 

Tyson has had 5 documented street fight incidents, all of which ended with one punch, with Tyson knocking the other guy the **** out and putting them in the hospital for weeks. And he only broke his hand once you ****ing liar he didn't "always" break it.
