Tha fact that he got beat by a guy who he himself (Bermane) was not in great shape, speaks volumes in terms of where Arreola goes from here.
Exactly so. His weight is only an indication of a much deeper problem, that Arreola doesn't have the drive & willpower to consistently train at an elite level. (Including learning new skills and correcting old faults.) To be fair, that's an incredibly difficult thing to do, but yeah yo have to be born with it. It's what separates the champions from the naturally-talented also-rans, in every sport.
Do you honestly believe Artur Szpilka could ever beat Chisora, Peter, or Arreola. You can't call a former World Champion like Peter a journeyman because he got stopped by two very talented guys on short notice. You can't call Arreola a journeyman because he would roll thru Mike Mollo in 30 seconds. You might call Chisora a journeyman simply because he doesn't seem to fight anyone outside the top 10 and being just outside the top 20 in the world, he can't quite cut it and make the elite. I would pick Chisora to beat Szpilka by points or late KO. I'd pick Peter to stop Szpilka in 4. Arreola would roll him over in one.deal:deal
He was a legit contender, but that's it. And now he's had alot of the fire beaten outta him, and he has, as Teddy Atla says, *Learned how to lose*. So I would say Arreola has gone the way of the Sam Peter; on a downhill slide, never to return.
He has never beaten anyone of real note, so it's hard to be "finished...." But if you mean he's going to be harder to market to get the fights he has been getting with another disappointing loss, then yeah. he has some raw ability and should be still capable of improving but it looks like he'll never have the work ethic to do so, but you never know
