look am sick of cal slappy he was very beatable he never wanted to fight the best version of roy jones jnr he waited till he was well past his best to fight. the first 2 rds of that fight is what joe cal slappy would have got all night or he would have been knocked out . joe was a very good fighter but nowhere near a prime ROY JONES JNR . cheers

2 sides to every story - Hopkins didn't want any of Calzaghe in his prime either.

All RJJ did to Joe in the first 2 rounds was a stiff forearm to the face that caused a flash KD.

Calzaghe was all over him - always would have been. RJJ is very overrated - protected species.

    Absolutely, what's not to like!

I like both of them, it sucks that one of them has to lose again.

I'm still leaning towards a Kessler win.

I can't believe how over rated Calzaghe is. He was very beatable, Reid could've got a decision against him, Ancient Hopkins with the perfect style for Calzaghe to look good against could've even been given the decision without too much argument. I honestly believe that Calzaghe at his best versus Ward now would result in a near shutout win for Ward. Calzaghe's best wins? Lacy? Kessler? Old Eubank? He was a good fighter, not a great fighter. He was tough and busy, big for the weight class. People calling him an all time great are completely biased/deluded.

Only biased folk actually believe either Reid or Hopkins won their bout. It wasn't a 'close run thing' at all.

Name one fighter around Joes time that would have beaten him @ 168 lbs ? Hopkins cruised past S/Middlewight after he ducked out of fighting Joe in the states back in 02 , A juiced up Roy was unable to make 168lbs so a fight there was always a non starter , who was left ? Yep everyone Joe beat as for the Robin Reid fight I've watched that performance a few times and scored it for Joe each time ( **** fight actually and Joe stunk the place out quiet a few times during his career ) but in answer to the question originally posed I will have to say yes Joe was beatable everyone is its just every time he he was troubled by anyone he just adjusted and cruised to victory , a fair bit has been written about this kid but at the end of the day he is home and hosed an unbeaten first ballot IBHOF fighter and a multi millionaire to boot .
