Reflections on Martinez & Judah-Garcia

DiBella says Martinez broke his left hand on the 2nd round when he punched Murray's elbow.
He has said too that Martinez should go surgery for his knee again, that he had problems before the camp. We all see the fat around Martinez's waist during the weighin, and he is usually ripped.

Nahhh, maybe he is not shot and was really injured and out of shape... or he could be really shot. Let him recover and rest and we will see it next year.

 

I'd say they're vulnerable to both punches. As far which is more damaging, I can't really say, there are too many variables. It's true that Chavez can't throw straight shots well, and he almost never throws punches from the outside. When he started doing it in the 12th, things went south for Martinez.

You're right that Martinez is a sitting duck on the ropes so those gifs don't do him justice. I'll try to find examples in the center of the ring.

He used the right hand to the body to set up the left hook upstairs.
