I’m tired of all the Hunter nuthuggers. Best coach in the world my arse. Genius? Ok. He is a good coach but people are going over the top. He has a complex/ unique style that suits Andre Ward. Amir Khan isn't an intelligent fighter and never will be at this stage of his career. He relies on speed and that’s about it. Hunter is too complex for him, he looked confused on Saturday. People criticise Roach but he has far more pedigree than hunter. In my opinion Khan looked really poor against Diaz. Regardless Khan has already started slurring his speech, dudes punch resistance is shot. Hunter can't help that, he knows that he is just happy for the big pay cheque. That’s the the long and short truth of it.

Doesn't matter how good the trainer is if the fighter doesn't listen. The main problem is Khan for a long time got away with using his over whelming speed to overcome his opponent s. First hick up he jumps to roach who also just used speed and aggression which khan already possessed, sharpened him up and that gave him his next good run. Then another hick up he jumps ship again. Doesn't matter who the trainer is , the main problem is Khan is trying to now learn the basics of professional boxing as opposed to just speed and amateur style defenses. But way to late in his career on the biggest stage possible with the boxing world criticizing every move

He was not schooled enough in pro boxing style in the beginning

I honestly don't think Virgil hunter would train someone he didn't think could do something with and he certainly wouldn't talk about him being capable of doing things. He doesn't talk about Dallas jnr being able to win titles, or martyniouk. Khan needed slowing down, he needs discipline and most of all a defence to go with his tremendous offence. I watched khan working with him before the fight and khan did adopt the tactic, he rolled to the left when diaz came in, he was more disciplined when the diaz got through with punches. A lot of people are quick to write off diaz, he did on my card best shawn porter and he by all accounts has changed up everything and himself is being trained by a great trainer and gets great sparring with Tim Bradley. Support khan, he's in great fights and always brings excitement. I'd rather watch khan than any other British fighter. Hatton got a great following but he didn't do much other than hit and maul, light welterweight John Ruiz. Atleast khan will stand and trade with anyone, having an iffy chin makes it even more exciting

If Freddie Roach couldn't turn Khan into a dominant world beater, then I think it's time we stopped blaming trainers for Khan's lack of ability at the very top. Most people thought the Prescott defeat would finish Khan, but truth was his best days were actually ahead of him. Roach brought out the best of him in my opinion.

Hunter might only have the tale end of Khan's career to work his magic, but it wasn't all bad on Saturday. Khan did survive some tough moments and showed a bit of maturity. He looked decent enough at times and lets not forget he did get the win against a very decent opponent.
