    ....When Khan had his front foot nailed to the centre of the ring he looked a million dollars and pretty solid. Its when he goes walkabout with his back touching the ropes that the real trouble starts and he ends up looking like a novice

    This is a really good post.

    We’ve seen footage of Khan jabbing and pivoting of the back foot already in training. I seem to recall Hunter showing him how to throw a jab to the body and pivot out of range.

    I’m sure he was doing lots of these drills in an empty ring to.

    He definitely needs to learn to create more opening off the back foot and learn to counter properly. As I said earlier, he has the stamina and the chin to take him the full 12. Khan should be taking advantage of when his opponent opens up. Instead he just gets into a trade off.

    Easier said than done. He can't just "choose" to be better defensively.

    There are fundamental flaws there which I don't think he'll ever overcome. Better to work around them rather than focus solely on them to the extent that he ignores what he is good at doing IMO

    Khan can’t be ignorant about his technical flaws, he must have been aware of it since his defeat to Prescott. What was the point in changing trainers, if he didn't want to put in the effort to adapt to Virgil’s philosophy? If he was content, he would have just stayed with Roach after the KO loss against Garcia. He obviously isn't 'content with what he's achieved', as he wants to go the ‘extra mile’ by changing trainers and finding someone who can help teach him to become a more ‘complete’ boxer, and someone who can help him to think about what he’s doing in the ring. Lastly, he's an idiot for not trying to improve on his craft when his health is on the line.
