Fury may be on the way up, but he's not at Haye's level. I don't see how this ends any way other than a counter knockout for the Hayemaker.
I dont see this fight happening to be honest. For Fury whos riskier Haye or Pulev?? If Fury beats Pulev he has a mandatory world title fight against Wlad. Realistically Fury doesn't need to fight Haye at the moment. If he loses to Wlad then it changes things.
What? It is a ok win. But nothing great. Is it so dumb to think Fury would be his best win? I mean everybody has to agree that it would be a very good win on that weak resume. Hayes heavyweight resume is weak. This is a fact. His best win is arguably Valuev. And believe me it can always get worse. Especially when you face a fighter who dont looks like he would care if he wins or not. He was 37 was fighting as a pro for 16 years (a long time for a boxer)... so no it is not bull**** to say that he was over his prime. Especially when you see his last fights were he looked terrible. But for you everything is bull**** right? Especially when somebody dont agrees with your opinion. Valuev looked **** in his last fights was 37 and already fighting for 16 years (with many hard fights in it). So it is NOT (!!!) bull**** to say he was over his prime considering these facts. But again you can believe what you want. It is your opinion. And I have my opinion.
You've already put holes in your own argument by acknowledging that guys with good movement are a stylistic nightmare for him. I see nothing in his fights prior to Chagaev that leads me to think that he'd have at any point in his career been better equipped to deal with Haye's speed. This isn't about dismissing other opinions, it's about asking you to substantiate your claim that Valuev was past his prime. All we're suggesting are that his assets - massive height and weight advantages - are not weapons that are going to be blunted over time in the same way that speed would be.
I am looking at the facts. 37 years old. 16 years as a pro. Looking terrible against ancient Holyfield and getting a gift in that fight. Holyfield was NOT very fast or had great stamina. Especially I doubt that he mentaly wanted to prove anything or to win close fights. Against Holyfield he did not even try to put pressure on the old Holyfield, who himself had stamina problems in that fight and a very low workrate. Valuev was never hurt in that fight and Holyfield could not hurt him. Yet Valuev did nothing. Although his corner said he needs a knock out he did nothing. So no Valuev was not a fighter in his prime who wanted to prove something or wanted to give it all in the ring when HAye faced him. Valuev looked even slower than he normaly was. But yeah you can think he was still in his prime if you want to. It is not a bad win for Haye. But it is really nothing great.
Will be awesome seeing Haye back peddling, running, posing, and pot shotting against Fury in another boring fight. No thanks.
people that don't think he is a great fighter DKSAB he is the number 2 HW in the World right now after Wlad
Fury is in negotiations with Pulev and after that, if he wins he gets a shot at all the belts.. Haye could derail all that. Cant see this happening.
