In that case why doesn't somebody from Hobson Promotions come here and try and sell the show?

You must be taking a fat wedge from that £11, otherwise how would you be able to staff your Customer Services department which will be manned leading up to and throughout the event?

I actually had no clue this fight was taking place till I saw this thread the other day. Hardly any promo's for it and yeah I agree, Jamie is a good lad and wish him all the best.

We're being paid a flat fee to handle the event, we take nothing from the £10.95.

I am here not to sell the event but to provide an outlet should any of you have any issues with ordering the event only.

Ok, that's fair enough, but do you not wonder how Hobson Promotion can do this without making a loss? It must cost a fair amount to put on a live TV production and I just don't see how they will make enough money to cover their costs.

McDonnell deserves TV coverage, but he's not a household name, and not exactly PPV worthy. If the show clashes with The Ricky Burns fight then just how many people do you think will buy the event. Plus they have your fee to pay...

Can't comment on much of that but we have been told the broadcast will run from 7pm to 10pm so should be an earlier main event, looks like they are planning for it to go off before the burns fight....

This is really bad news for McDonnell, as said by quite a few before me going head to head with Ricky Burns on SKY is the most ridiculous thing (almost) I have heard of and add to that charging a tenner for it....

Are these guys for real? This would have got alot more views even at a tenner on a diff night....

Oh well, another fighter seen alot of his previous fights on SKY and wont watch his biggest fight...same with loads other's I guess.

    Shame.

i was really looking forward to this fight and was scratching my head as to why nothing was showing up on Sky sports for this date... then found out it was on the ******* channel, Crimetime.

this has to be the most messed up thing i've ever seen where a fight in concerned. who exactly is going to pay that price for a fighter who isn't that well known? not many that's for sure. Hobson, you've well and truly ****ed this one up. it makes no logical sense what so ever.

Just as some decent banter starts to emerge about burgers exchanging hands for sordid liaison's in Travel Lodge's and Vince Cleverly's potential uses for shampoo, the thread comes down.
