    Currently active:

    1: Wlad / Wilder tie.

Steward thought it was Wilder, but it's impossible to say.
Wlad puts his body behind the punch a little better. Wilder's is a little faster.

Personally, I'd vote for Wilder, but then all the haters would just jump up & down claiming there's no proof because of his competition. So ****it.

    3: Haye

4: Price, Dinu, Boytsov, Helenius, Stiverne, & Big Dufus, all pretty much at the same basic level.

    Wlad's power is overrated.

Manny Steward thought so. He's on record as saying exactly that.

    Go argue with him. :smooch

    -------------

But these two guys throw in such disparate ways, it's really futile to even compare them. Wlad throws straight, with great leverage. He also has stronger legs than Wilder. If he hits you flush, he has that sort of "thudding" power like Shavers & Foreman, but with more leverage because of his longer reach and perfect form.

Wilder's legs are obviously skinny, and his punches are not ALWAYS perfectly straight (the nature of an OH right vs a straight right) but they are undeniably faster than Wlad's, and power is mass X speed, plus leverage. Wilder's punches probably don't have quite the same kinetic energy as Wlad's, but they have the ability to go right through an opponents gloves, which if you are standing on the other side of the ring, is a lot more frightening.

Here's another way to look at it: Wlad's punches probably do more damage to the body and arms of his opponent, over the course of a fight. Wilder's on the other hand, have greater 1-punch KO potential. (This is not just theoretical, I have a masters degree in what is now called Kinesiology. Back in the day, we actually studied such things.)

Personally, I wouldn't fight either one of them.

Nah, Wlad has better 1 punch KO power. He has a LOT of 1 punch KO's against good opposition and has dropped many guys who have never been KD'd before.

Wilder is pure speculation until he fights someone with a chin.

Even if you don't like Wlad, his power is proven.

    no particular order:
    Wlad
    Haye
    Stiverne
    Mogamad
    Helenius/Price

    I think Wilder's power is more speed/force

    1. tua's still active. I know he's an old man now but if that guy get his left hook off it good night to anybody.
    2. price no doubt he has a dodgy chin but one shot power is still there
    3. Wilder hits like hearns but lets see him against a moving target.
    4. haye single shot that dropped the quiet man was real natural power.
    5. wladimir its more his accuracy than his power. Takes him a long time to knock people out so clearly its accumulation rather than single shot power.

people who say Wlad doesn't have one punch KO power should actually watch his fights instead of going off what people say on ESB.
