    Nothing against Zab, but many times fighters will say the guy they beat hit harder then the power punchers that beat them.... again, not taking anything away from what Zabs saying but I tend to notice this trend.

    But of course, Matthysse is a big puncher and wouldn't be surprised if he really does hit significantly harder then Danny.

    Maybe they asked and I wasn't paying attention but Id love to know why Zab doesn't throw his straight left more often. He barely threw it at all the first couple rounds.... if he would have put in more work early on he could have been reaping the benefits sooner rather then having success the last few rounds.

    Then again maybe its a stamina thing, maybe hes not wanting to get gassed or whatever, or maybe its for his defense. But really he reminds me of Wlad on how much he keeps his cross holstered early in fights.

    Maybe he didnt want to open himself up to Garcias most lethal weapon,that counter Left hook.He barely got caught by his killer shot mostly right hands.I think had he feinted more & threw more hooks of his own he couldve inficted more damage cause he was clearly hurting garcia at times.

    He did the same against Khan and Mabuza. He keeps his left holstered way too much. But ya, could very well be he is trying not to open himself up but really, his defense is not that good when his hands are at home so I don't think hes gaining all that much. Or could be that hes trying to pace himself more, afraid of tiring himself out. Idk.... but I think its holding him back a bit from more success. The Khan fight was completely winnable for him but he rarely took the chances opening up and allowed himself to get run over.

    Idk... just reminds me so much of how wlad keeps his cross at home early in fights lol.

    The funny thing is he's got all the talent in the world, I had him a live dog vs khan likely upsetting him if he just executed his plan & just let his hands go more.Never in my wildest dreams I thought zab had it in him to fight the way he did for 12 rounds,sure he got rocked/hurt multiple times but he kept fighting & refused to go away.Probably a brooklyn thing,he felt like he couldn't go dow like nthat in his hometown.Wish he'd showed more heart in previous fights outcome might've been different.

    They would be kind of discrediting their own win by saying anything different.

    Fighters always make the guys they beat look strong when asked about them, whether they reallly are or not.
