The thing with Martinez was his age and nationality. I am sure Arum took that into consideration and didn't sign him up when he had the chance. From Argentina and already on his 30's by the time he started to make some noise.

I can already tell the myth that's going to build around how Murray 'beat Martinez's ass' when in reality it was a close fight that came down to the 12th round (which imo Martinez won). A year from now the story of this fight will be passed around on how Murray won 9 rounds to 3. Happens every time.
6-6 for me. The thing with this fight is that I see no way in hell that you could point 7 rounds that Sergio won. None. Plus the KD, plus the BS non-counted KD and you have yourselves the MW king "cherry picking" (not my opinion but the clear opinion of fans based on how they use that term) gone wrong.
Battle roar? It should be battle moan instead Martinez acted like a complete ***** against Murray feigning low blows and headbutts, showboating when he was getting his ass kicked, complaining about the vaseline etc It's as if old man was going through mid life crisis or something Chavez really ate his soul and ruined his body
If I remember correctly the polls on this site favored serge after the fight... Murray was way too lazy in the first half of the fight to take it. Sergio was active from the opneing bell.
Well you can, Murray started late gave first 4 to Sergio and 11th, thats 5 right away and you say that its impossible to find 2 more, fact is Sergio worked in every round win or lose there was work from him that maybe "fooled" some judges in giving him closer rounds while Murray just gave away clear rounds that could be scored just for Sergio, inexperience cost him against Sergio.
:deal Clearly this, Sergio worked so made even Murrays round closer while Murray just gave a rounds away.:thumbsup
