Man I'm just giving you **** ... lighten up ... You were the one who said only on the internet would you say that :huh I don't know you and if I called you son ... I don't see a problem with it ... I can see if I called you a ***** or something ... its not that serious. Hatton is an elite fighter, but is nothing special ... Pacquiao is an elite fighter but nothing special ... those guys are entertaining but as far as great boxers ... I just don't see that. (You get what i'm saying?) Yeah you can find that ... I got that feeling ... i'm not going to bet on that. Upsets happen ... Cotto has been to the well too many times ... he's going to find it dry one day.
Maybe so because he did drop Torres with it ... but he always follows through with the left hook ... his money punch and the KO punch is the left hook. The shot he hurt Mosley with was the left hand when he switched to southpaw ... Most of his most brutal shots came from the left hand ... rather it was a straight left from southpaw stance ... the jab ... or the left hook. Good points though ... and I thought it might be from the accumulation of punches. I think one day Cotto - if he gets past Gomez & Margarito/Cintron winner ... Clottey will be waiting. He's #1 IBF and #3 by WBA
You can call me son...I have no problems with that. I grew up with that slang so its fine with me. I just don't know how its interpeted in Grand Rapids....you contradicting son of *****.
ha ha ... I'll take that shot on the chin ... I have been a bit back and fouth flip flop'n ... but i'm really not opposed to what you've said. now son of a *****? ... are you calling my mother a *****? I don't know how its interpeted in NY ... ha ha ha
I hope you guys realized that Clottey badly hurt his hand in the fourth round of that fight with Margarito. If he didn't hurt his hand Magarito would have been stopped. Now I believe that this fight would be classic with the last one standing being Clottey.
Cotto would systematically break Clottey down and ultimately stop him. He has shown that he can deal with speed and his own is underrated. Clottey's lack of true power will allow Cotto to close the gap where he will punish his ribs.
This overrating is ridiculous.. it wouldn't be close at all, at any point. Cotto would destroy Clottey. The only thing Clottey has done in his career is have a close fight with Margarito. He is a product of the Margarito hype virus. It is a guarantee that Clottey would not be able to last the distance against Cotto, let alone come close to beating him. He has zero advantages over Cotto, his stamina is horrible, he's a weak puncher, and he's mentally weak. Cotto TKO7. Quintana is not in the same league as Clottey. He's clearly a level or two above him.
I really don't understand where all this Clottey hate is coming from. How is it a guarantee that Clottey would be stopped? Has he been stopped before? He lost two robberies. Plus Arum is too smart to serve Cotto up like that.:blurp
I don't hate Clottey, I just hate how badly 90% of fans overrate him after the Margarito fight (which was not a robbery). How is it a guarantee? His stamina is terrible, he can't handle pressure well, his defense is leaky (and he leaves his body open a lot), he doesn't punch hard enough to get Cotto's respect, and he has a history of breaking down mentally in tough fights.
I respect your opinion, but maybe you have seen different fights from you. I have not seen any of the traits that you decribed to me is your post. He does leave the body open alittle but he make up for it with his powerful counters. What fights are you referring to? I really like Cotto, but who has he REALLY fought? I watched the Mosley fight over 15x and I cannot give Cotto that fight.
LOLOLOL......man that's why I love this place.....I saw the fight about 15x to and I can't seem to give Mosley more than 5 rounds. Funny thing is even in the rounds I gave him half of them had him looking desperate and swolleen. How ironic.......
