Skip Bayless is horrible; particularly at talking boxing.

Stephen A. is also horrible, but that was a damn good comeback.

 

If you were to bring up the names, Orlando Canizales, Ricardo Lopez, Edwin Rosario, Raphael Marquez, Humberto Gonzalez, maybe even Alexis Arguello........
......Neither Smith or Bayless would have a clue who those fighters were.

Bayless if lucky would be able to name no more than 5 current world champions.

Thats all that needs to be said about their qualifications to speak about boxing. :-(

Stephen A Smith does not do analysis. He says things to instigate web clicks, memes and increase his populairty. He does it for affect not true inisght. He is a not sports analysis. He is commentator. It is like equating Sean Hannity to a journalist.

That said, the Manny joke is that - a joke. I never took his "analysis" of the PBF/Pac negotiation seriously. The man has become a caricature of himself. At one point he was a serious sports reporter. But since his rise in fame and his full time job as a commentator his analysis has greatly suffered. His basketball skills (his real expertise) is sadly mediocre at best now.
