At his best I thought Khan's stylistic mold would be able to give Floyd problems if he kept improving his timing and his punch variation. The footspeed, the hand-speed, the stiff and voluminous jab. He's had to take a few steps backwards to try and recover though, I don't think that fight gets made. And if it does Khan gets spanked. He was never good enough and he's certainly not now.

Khan does have the style (and skill) to actually win rounds against Floyd, by getting in and out. The problem is he could get knocked out. The Khan that beat Paulie and Zab could give Floyd problems. Not just Floyd but anyone.

Khan is taller, has a better jab than Floyd and a much higher workrate on him and Floyd isn't much of a puncher.

So Khan would win rounds and be a tough challenge for sure

So is this why Khan keeps going on about a Mayweather fight?

I find it hard to believe that Roger would say something like that to Khan...but I suppose at that time there was a possibility of Khan training under Roger, so maybe Roger was trying to encourage him or something. He also commented on Khan after the Garcia loss:

“If I was teaching him I would teach him how to box, to keep them motherf***** away from him. He’s tall, he’s rangy anyways. Learn how to control them with your reach.”

I do actually think Khan has certain attributes that could potentially give Mayweather problems, but he's ultimately just not good enough and too vulnerable. Even if his chin was solid, his leaky defence would still mean that Mayweather would consistently counter him or pot shot him for twelve rounds.

Yeah, the Khan that got thrown around by Gomez really had a chance.

**** sake iron_chin, you either have an agenda or are just as stupid as Khan. Why would you even post embarrassing crap like that?

Amir actually trained there for a while during that year and before, IIRC, so he probably did.
