Round 1: The hirsute, Georgian Rowan Atkinson lookalike immediately circles around the ring stopping only to dart in swat away at his foe's gloves. Velasquez responds by stalking and firing away with right hands which connect with some force, but don't land flush. Nasty head clash opens a cut on Giorgi Mtchedlishvili and he circles some more as the round ends.

    10-9 Velasquez.

Round 2: Was too distracted by BE's gif to notice much of the round....

OK...not really. But it was more of same. Velasquez stalks, and Mtchedlishvili circles, though the Georgian stood his ground a little more. Valasquez landed a couple of hard right hands at the end, but Giorgi Mtchedlishvili takes them well.

    20-18 Velasquez

Round 3: Giorgi Mtchedlishvili continues to circle and job from side to side, while Velasquez is content to shoot the right hand and wait and follow. Closer round, because of the nice right to the body that the Georgian landed, but those moments of offensive success were few and far between.

    30-27 Velasquez

Spence is super active and already taking slight steps in competition, maybe a title shot in 2 years coming up for him

Round 4: Mtchedlishvili circles and spoils as per usual, but he also throws more and lands a nice hook at the start of the round and a nice little one two as the round approaches its end. Valasquez dutifully follows and fires the right, but doesn't land it with the same accuracy this round. I give it to the Georgian.

    39-37 Velasquez

    decent performance by valazquez.

his career stalled after his brother lost

sold to the public as twins. and if your brother loses then your attraction is null and void.

Round 5: Mtchedlishvili is feeling a lot more confident, and is more willing to engage in guerilla warfare a bit more. Most of his shots appear to land against the gloves, and that allows his foe to steal the round when he FINALLY cuts off the ring and lands a hard hook, followed by a couple of rights that have the Georgian looking ragged.

    49-46 Velasquez

Round 6: Emboldened by the success he had at the end of the round, Carlos works behind the jab and concentrates on cutting off the ring. This forces his foe to stand and trade as he feels his back come into contact with the stands. Valesquez beats him to the punch with a SWEET hook and Giorgi Mtchedlishvili goes DOWN. To his credit, the Georgian rises and gets on his bike, and retreats as quickly as he can to ride out the rounds.

    59-54 Velasquez

    Scores...

    60-53M 59-54 (x2) for Carlos Ivan Velasquez
