One thing I found most interesting was the way he'd step with his lead foot on the outside when in the pocket. Normally a southpaw's advantage becomes much less relevant on the inside since the angles are all closer, but the way he leans makes me think that this is a good tactic for neutralizing the right hand. Floyd's left is compromised when leaned on unless he pushes off with the fore-arm (which I expect him to do as Berto did to make space for the right uppercut and any follow-up subsequent punches), so taking care of his right by pushing on it or leaning out of the way with the lead foot on the outside seems a good way to limit Floyd's output while still being aggressive.

Thanks for the post good stuff. Iv always wanted to see a southpaw make floyd pay for that elbow **** by using their right hand to the body. Throw right hooks to the body along with uppercuts to his armpit and underside of his bicept, **** like that hurts. Anytime he brings it up when you try closing distance, use feints too in order to get him to lift it then rip a uppercut in his armpit, left cross, righthook to the head. Hope to see that in their fight.

    1. Floyd will use the shell style against a true southpaw (Ortiz is converted)

    2. Floyd is not Andre Berto

Never thought of uppercutting the under arm, that must hurt, its softer. Floyd's left side of the body is his most continuously exposed part. Hard to get to, easier for a southpaw. Guerrero doesn't favor his right hook but he'd do well to use it when up close.

    1. Will or will not?

    2. We know.

You should check out my Andre Berto Shoulder Roll Thread. He's simply a level above Mayweather.

 Ya im aware of both especially the 2nd point but he still reverts to it at times especially on the ropes. Even if he isn't bringing it up as much his body is still going to be exposed for you at times. Alot of lefties under utilize the right hook especially when on the inside if you have foot position outside theirs which makes their left hook a virtual non threat. When you have that position you should be liberal with the right hook, doubling it to the body and head.

Floyd is a lot smarter with his foot work then Berto. I highly doubt Floyd would allow Robert the opportunity to set back and time his movement the way berto did. Not only that Berto is not even a decent counter puncher.

Guys like Marciano and Valero were great at ****ing up your arms and vulnerable spots alot of guys don't think to. Armpit or the inside or your bicept (throwing a uppercut when their arm is up) and hooks to the back of their tricept when in close are all things i use. It's annoying and can hurt.

When you're on the inside in that position a natural move is to pivot on your right foot to circle out but instead of using your right hand to push on their left shoulder while pivoting and circling to your right you throw a right hook while you pivot to their tricept area on the back of their arms.

We've established that Berto is not Mayweather now. We got that down I think. This is about showing what Guerrero can try to do and how Floyd will react and how Guerrero will try to do to prevent that reaction from being successful, etc.

Movement to his right is a given. But It's weird to think he'd fight defensively in his shell like he did Ortiz. That seems much more dangerous. But at the same time, I don't think the plan is to come forward like he usually does against southpaws because of he and Sr.'s emphasis on movement and defense.

I don't know what this fight is going to look like. I really have no idea.

I am starting to believe the Guerrero camp may not realize exactly how good Mayweather is. I don't know if this is a blessing or a curse yet.

I've long had the sense that they don't realize it. They've never got to see anything like it in the ring. It will ultimately be their curse.
