Car has larger surface area than a punch. I haven't taken physics since high school, though, but I would think that should be the reason why your whole body goes flying.

Since he's punching a crash test dummy I'd assume they took the stats from that, which would mean if you was in a crash and your head jolted forward and hit his fist.

 

Does that guy realize how dumb he looks? Or does he have some sort of condition?
