Mayweather fans, how concerned are you?

Not too concerned really. I like Guerrero, I like his style and skill set, but don't see it troubling Mayweather too much. Mayweather looked all business yesterday.

 

Every since Ruben called Floyd a "Woman beater, woman beater" I've been sensing this dark vibe from Floyd. Not an angry vibe, but a dark dark serious aura surrounding him. Call em what you want, but Ruben had NO bushiness bring up Floyds kids into that press conference. Floyds ready.

 

I feel you on that,it reminds me of a quiet killer,a Cotto vibe..

 

not concerned too much at all. I do expect a tough 1st four or five rounds before Floyd dominates the action. More interested to see how he looks back at 147 and if how much of a difference Floyd SR. will make. But not expecting anything less than a Floyd 8-4,9-3 kind of decision.

 

I've voiced my main concern in a thread Bogo.
I worry that Floyd has Guerrero TOO fired up a la Hatton.
Only trouble is, with RG being a portsider,I worry that with him being just a bit too keen,we could have some nasty clashes which could see him badly cut,and an unsatisfactory ending.
Or as Bazooka suggested,he might fire low blows or just be too dirty and get DQ'd.

 

I feel many are underestimating Robert and what he brings to the table. He's rough, rugged, and determined. His measurables aren't equal to what we've known of Floyd, but Floyd is 36 years old. Regardless what others have done, 36 years old is old in terms of elite athletes, and it's very possible that Floyd continues to show decline. Ghost is in his athletic prime and I think he could make this tougher than expected. The expected is relative, and based on what many have said they expect...it'll be tougher than expected.

 

Any fight from here on out is a nail biter considering the fact that father time can tackle Floyd at any moment. That said, his fans should feel a little more relaxed as he's back with his dad which means he defense will tighten up. If Bhop can fight at a high level over the age of 40, why can't Floyd? Mayweather doesn't fight like Sergio. Floyd never heavily and solely relied on his legs. Head movement has always been a key component in his defense.

 

It's not easy, Guerrero is tough and top 20 p4p in my opinion as I've said before. But Floyd is a champ, he could even knock-him out!
