im actually going by how the best defender of that era Benitez handled Duran...even tho Floyd is a lil smaller and didnt hit as hard as Wilfred..that lead right would be there all night in Durans face....although Durans bodywork could be a big factor at WW...because Floyd doesent move as much..but would be Durans only shot...

He would hold his own against Duran and Leonard, though I don't think he would win he would be very competitive. Hearns beats him pretty easily, stylistically a nightmare for Floyd and Hagler just too big and not a fair discussion

Agreed. Floyd is fighting in an era where he so above everybody that anyone he chooses is considered a cherry pick.

Though I personally didn't like this choice of a fight, it was better than I expected but I actually was not going to order it until my fiancee decided to do it for my birthday (Cinco De Mayo)

He's at the level of the Fab 4 no question. Beating them is a different question. Though people don't like to add in that these men started at 140, 147 etc. Except Duran who started in the featherweight area but that was at 16 years of age.

Mayweather started at 130, and has grown into a 140lber who fights at 147.

Hagler, Hearns, Leonard all grew into 160lbers. Quite a difference.

Wilfredo beat an out of shape, unmotivated Duran. That being sad, i believe he also outpoints an in shape motivated Mayweather

Your on a new kind of crack Hearns would obliterate Floyd...and Floyd is no SRL...THERES no way in hell.....he would taken the punishment Leonard did to get to Hearns..besides Floyd would have needed a weapon to hurt Hearns he dosent even hit as hard as decent punching featherweight...lol

Duran - Mayweather at lightweight is a different fight to it at Welterweight.

I believe Duran would dominate at his stronger weight, Mayweather has more success at 47, but Duran edges it. Its going the distance whether it be 12 or 15 rounds.

Its always a excuse when Duran loses....even if he was at his best Benitez would have beat him. His style is to sloppy for Wilfred at WW....Wilfred even made Hearns look lackluster when they fought and Hearns was the best technical boxer
out of the fab.4 and of that era...

Was the most technical boxer in that era?! Tell that to Hagler.
