Both are clearly slowing down although Mayweather looked very quick yesterday, contrary to Wlad (imo).

are both 'clearly slowing down'? everyone says that, but Mayweather still looks very sharp IMO. Wlad looks the same as he always has.

the big difference is in competition. Mayweather's weightclass(es) has a wealth of talent, waiting to pounce when he slips up.

Yeah but he won't fight them so it does not matter.

Wlad is able to get away with fighting a much lower caliber of opponent, so he can drag his career out longer I think.

Why do these people keep putting these two completely unrelated fighters together? Did someone dose me or is this really happening?

Probably Wlad, he's not a fighter who's style requires handspeed or reflexes which fade before brute power, plus the competition at heavyweights weaker

Floyd could be the next Old man of boxing (ala Bhop) he is smart enough and dedicated enough to make changes to his style if need be. Unfortunately, his hands are fragile so he may not last that long in the sport. Wlad is in a **** division thats in decline, he can fight tomato cans for the next 10 years.

Wlad could carry on doing what he is doing, fighting in the same way and being undisputed champion for another 4-5 years. His only enemy is motivation, he has already said that he is not as motivated as he used to be, because there is a lack of talent in the division. He will be well up for the Povetkin fight certainly.

In 5 years time Floyd will have long been retired and having money throwing parties with hookers and rappers.

Floyd is able to handpick opponents while Wladimir has to fight the best. Floyd will lose when he steps up. Someone like DLH or another JLC from the first fight will beat him for a third time.
