to think he can box that way he usually does at this age is highly unlikely and most likely only said that to make everyone think he's still the unbeatable boxer he was against chico. Not only that, 154 was a place he should never have been but continues to do what no one else can in this generation.

And just because it wasn't close rounds-wise, it was super competitive all the way to the end. Cotto gave him all he could handle, and Floyd knew it.

 

The 10 ounce gloves + the fight being at 154 is what made this competitive had Arum allowed them to fight at 140 after Floyd beat Gatti, Cotto would've got destroyed, btw give Cotto a shot at Pac at 154 with 10 ounce gloves and I'd do a life time bet that he would do better against him than he did against Floyd, hell I wouldn't be surprised if he pulled a draw or a close sd/md.
