I was really shocked when i logged in, because i was completely entertained. Mayweather showed defense, ring generalship along with a great offense. What the hell is wrong with some of you?

Then you have the same idiots claiming oh my the sport is dead, the sport is done, the theaters are empty, the stadium is not sold out blah blah blah when some of you so called hardcore fans can't even appreciate the best boxer in the sport....

Anyways, great performance by Mayweather, loved every bit of it.

Like the commentators where saying. What are people expecting from him? To get knocked out or just going in like Rocky against Drago?

He put on a masterclass and smothly switched between defense and offense at _36_ years of age. And it was against a good opponent.

If that's not impressive I don't know what is.

That's another thing. The Cotto fight alot of people seem to think that it was cotto who made the fight go to the ropes. But it was always on Mayweathers terms and when he switched it on he dominated that fight in the middle of the ring.

Floyd put on a boxing clinic.. Schooled the inferior Guerrero! I predicted it already... No suprises.

I watch all boxing events.. I just prefer Boxer-punchers and Sluggers! It's just my cup of tea.. I loved watching Ponce throw those sloppy as punches.. LMAO

Well if you notice the best wipe out performances are "boring" to many fans.

Hopkins-Cloud, great performance by Hopkins, labeled boring.
Rigondeaux-Donaire, great performance by Rigondeaux, labeled boring.
Mayweather-Guerrero, great performance by Mayweather, labeled boring.

Then you see Rios-Alvarado II, Bradley-Provodnikov, being praised as great fights.

That's how it has always been. Boxing fans are split in three different types of fan bases. There are the one's who only like action and nothing but action and anything else sucks, which are those who bashed Hopkins, Rigondeaux and Mayweather's performances. There are those who don't like the come forward brawling style and only like fights like Hopkins-Cloud, Rigo-Donaire, Mayweather-Guerrero. They just love to see shut outs and one fighter completely shutting down his opponent. Then there is the fan that likes both and can appreciate both.

Not to make myself look like the ultimate boxing fan, and better than all, but I like both styles and can enjoy both a war and complete "boring" shut out.

i'm not exactly a fan of Floyd and his ducking of the best opponents, but, i actually enjoyed watching him last night. he obviously wasn't going to let his hands go as much as he usually does because he was fighting a southpaw. that lowers the punch output for any one. he was smart, sharp, fast and showed great defence. Robert didn't throw as much as usually does either. Mayweather had him mentally. after all the God ****, it was nice to see him punched in the face and made to look stupid.

i'd like to see him take on Canelo next, but as we all know, he's the biggest ducker in history. that isn't going to change.

I didn't enjoy it because there was not enough good variety of offense to balance the good variety of defense and I don't say that about all Mayweather fights.

People pay to watch competitive boxing matches. Guerrero was a no-hope cherry pick. He didn't bring **** to the table: no heart, no anything. It was boring because Floyd picked an easy opponent. People want to see him challenged, i.e. fight Canelo, Trout, Lara, even Pacquiao.

I loved Rigo Donaire, this one I found boring though.

I think the difference was that I felt Guerrero had absolutely no chance of offering anything at any point of the fight. At least with Donaire you thought he could pull that massive shot out at some point.

    This one felt like bullying.

This fight was simply very predictable and un-interesting because it was Floyd making an average fighter look average. The outcome was exactly what was expected of this mismatch. To have a great, two great fighters are required. Floyd needs to pick better opposition.

It was good show and Mayweather was a joy to watch (until he hurt his hand).

But the matchup itself was shite. I think that's what people are criticising. Guerrero is a very average fighter up at that level. I mean, he posed less of a threat than Ortiz, for crying out loud. And I guess some people feel stupid for thinking he had a chance .
