Fights Mayweather could of had?

Morales and Barrera are you serious when Floyd had his first fight at light weight Morales and Barrera where still fighting at super bantam weight.

Good call on the Tijuana Tornado - he was chasing Floyd down for a fight for a long time but Floyd wanted none of it.

 

KT wanted the Floyd fight but they were signed to different networks, KT even went to USA to see if they could make it happen.
While he was over there his manager signed the Hatton fight which KT wasn't really interested in until the money was pumped up.

 

C'mon we all know the Russian Tszyu wanted no part of the elites of his time the same as he wants nothing to do with his own kids these days. Easy work for Floyd.

 

Lightweight Mosley - Pretty sure they offered him the fight but Team Balco turned it down.

Stevie Johnston - not really relevant by the that time but would have been better than his other lightweight fights.

Casamayor - May called him out but Casa dropped the ball against Freitis, and Acelino wasn't interested in fighting May from memory..plus again networks.

Tszyu- As had been mentioned different networks, timing not exactly right.

Early welter Cotto, Margarito and Williams - He did steer away from these guys but I think he was careful not to take on someone who outweighed him to significantly after the Castillo fights. I don't think it was that much of a duck really considering all these guys had stumbles in their careers around that time.

Spadafora - People would have watched that given they had a little bit of a history and he would have been an interesting style for Floyd to take at that stage but his out of the ring problems poo poo'd that.

All in all in was more unfortunate timing and politics that prevented Mayweather from fighting a lot of guys..he is on record willing to fight many of them.
He didn't do much between 03 and 05, but there wasn't much doing really around the weight he was at..Gatti whilst one of the softest options at 140 was the most financially enticing..the welter curse prevented a clear cut champion emerging which sort of takes the hype out of a bout.

 

Vivian Harris, he was the new Marvin Hagler before Margarito stole the title from him!! WBA Light Welter Champ and Mayweather, Hatton and Cotto removed themselves from his mandatory position, running terror through the division.

:good he would have gotten just as much flak as every other fight people try to downgrade him on, people just love to negate his performances as a boxer due to their dislike of him as a person

 

Wasnt the mosley he fought the same guy who destroyed antonio margarito in his previous fight? and many still thought that mosley was going to give him a bit of trouble.
