Does anyone have anything bad to say about DLH, Or was he perfect??

Borderline great sounds about right to me , but then I think at times I might be being a bit harsh on De La Hoya

 

atsch That is NOT HD.

 

DLH was a great fighter but never developed a great jab or righthand. You have to give it to guys who go out there and make exciting fights to please the fans, and Oscar definitely did that.

 

He gave us every fight we wanted to see. Heart of champ, stamina of a virgin.

 

i never liked DLH and he got beaten by a lot of top fighters. the guy wasn't great IMO.

 

A lot of people have mentioned the spurts in fighting, lack of right till late in his career and a bit stiff with his upper-body movement. For me, I'm not overly fond with his squared up stance, but he was an offensive-based fighter so it worked.
