Pac vs. Rios isnt the worst fight that can be made...

    ....but it's a middling one, to be sure.

    First of all, Pac dragging Rios up to 147 when he just got to 140 is ****ing ridiculous. Rios is 1-1 over 135, and looked like **** when he got outboxed by Abril.

    Rios has never fought above 147, and honestly, who the hell can he really beat at this stage at that weight?

    Bradley, Floyd, Guerrero, Berto, Alexander et tal would all have no trouble with Rios whatsoever.

    Yes, Pac just got KTFO by another lightweight, but that does not excuse him fighting a guy who JUST GOT TO 140 and LOST!!

    On regular HBO, I would surely give it more of a pass, but on PPV?? That's a bit much.

    All I know is, if Manny loses this one, HE IS COMPLETELY FINISHED at the top level. If he beats him, he will have beaten an overrated, undersized punching bag, but at least he can get another payday.:deal

    If the fight is at 147, it will help Rios. He'll have to cut less weight, and it's not like Pac is a big WW anyway. No matter what, he'll be at a severe hand and foot speed disadvantage.

    He's too fleshy as it is, and we dont even know if he can take a 147lb punch. Alvarado hurt him many times at 140, what would Pac do at 147???:think

    You're right. Pacquiao vs. shattered Filipino dreams would be the worst fight.

    Rios is taylor made for Pacquiao to look good. He blocks punches with his face, only has one gear come forward and brawl. He will go out on his shield, won't run only fight back if he's hurt. Pacquiao's in out movement will eat Rios alive. This is a test for Pacquiao, an safe test but still a test. Rios has power that could put Pacquiao's lights out, but if Pacquiao chooses to box it's a easy night. A fight where Pacquiao controls the excitement, whether he chooses to play it safe for go for the KO is on him. I like this fight and its probably the best options for Pacquiao and Rios.

    Both coming off a loss, so I don't feel bad for Alvarado. Rios is a bigger name and they have been building him up as the next guy. I see Pacquiao winning, but Rios has the ko power if he can get to PAC. Whatever happens it won't be a snooze fest.

    fireworks filled fight that probably wont go 12, whats not to complain about

    Rios fought great vs Alvarado in defeat and Manny is 0 for his last 2 and coming off a bad KO loss

    I like this fight

    Yeah, it's not bad. Maybe middling. There's an outside chance that I might even be willing to watch Brandon Rios fight Manny Pacquiao...

    If they had clones of Robinson fighting Greb, someone would make a thread complaining about it. "The Sugar Ray clone is ducking the Hagler clone!"

    if its in theaters for 25 like the Floyd fight I'll see it sure

    Rios has never been in a boring fight, Top Rank does have crummy undercards

    Floyd's undercard was great

    Hooters is the best idea
