If the PPV buys are under a Million. no numbers are out for sure but if its true Showtime will push Mayweather to fight Canelo so they can make some money. Rafeal said Showtime need 1.1 buys to break even!! So if it came in say 800k (which anit bad) then there gonna push and push for Canelo. Because everybody knows a Canelo fight is a 1.5, 2 million buys easy!! So Maybe the low PPV numbers is what the boxing world needed. and with Mayweather telling the WBA hes gonna defend his belt on Sept 14th, things are looking up!!!!
In terms of PPV numbers it does make sense, hey that may have been a blessing in disguise. But May 2014 suits both fighters much more. Canelo can gain more experience by fighting Cotto and he can fight on Floyd's undercard in September, ensuring that the PPV numbers are bumped up if that's the issue.
I think so too. I think Maweather-Canelo is a lock for next May. but who knows what showtime might be thinking. because in all honesty, a fight against Devon will drop the numbers even more. Maidana?? wont break a Million so lets see
Anyways, it's worth pointing out that the folks at Showtime are now denying the early reports from Rafael and Iole in terms of less than 1M buys. This happens for every Floyd fight until the official numbers come and shut mouth.

Probably not this year. I could see it happening in September 2014, and if that happens, the 0 is history. If Floyd wants to beat Alvarez, he'd be best off pushing for the fight ASAP. The longer he waits, the more his chances of winning decline. Alvarez is only going to improve and Floyd is only going to decline with time.
If he can't stop a naturally smaller Guerrero at 147, he sure as hell won't stop Canelo at 154. Can't see Canelo hitting him that much though. PS : don't know why I read "Floyd will stop Canelo Sept 14"
