It doesn't. PPVs are TV specials done independently to annual budget.

it will out do the Cotto Mayweather fight it may not out do the DLH PBF fight but you never know.
Nobody thought Canelo was going to sell 40 thousand tickets fighting a guy nobody ever heard of.
So its possible that this becomes the biggest PPV event in Mays career....

Prior to this coming out, I actually thought Mayweather-Alvarez could approach 2 million if done right.

The biggest payday and biggest ass whooping too! He ain't gonna face Canelo, he has to much at stake. If he get's his ass whooped he no longer has the prestige he once had, so that means less $$$$$$. He's gonna ride out his precious little record as he always has, fighting opponents he knows he can beat. I

You ****ing idiot you don't get it? You can't handpick your mando. Guerrero earned his shot dumbass. PBF was weighing his options like any fighter does. If he would have vacated and fought someone else instead haters like you would have been the first one in line saying PBF is ducking his mando Guerrero. **** off.

Maybe the budget is set for this year, but how about next year? If they're short 15m, where does that come out of? isn't their entire yearly budget like twice that much?

Thank god this happened. Hopefully Showtime pressure Floyd to fight live opponents. Enough of these shitty matchups.

So these facts have been true all along:

    1. Floyd just cashes in on the Mexican holidays fighting on Cinco de Mayo and Mexican independence day fighting Mexican/Mex-Americans or pitting a popular Mexican on the undercard. I guess the trick did not work this time around as it is Canelo they wanted to see against him more than Mares-De Leon/Sta. Cruz on the undercard.

    2. In relation to fact number 1, Floyd is not the PPV star a lot of his fans ought to make him to be. Less then 1 million buys for his last fight? Take the 50-50 Floyd. :D

    3. The answer to the mystery in number 2 is this: He doesn't have charisma, nor his fighting style is one for the general viewing public. Sure, he's a near flawless fighting machine, but in the end, it's not really skills that pay the bills, it's the thrills. Not everyone will appreciate a masterful display of boxing. He knows that, hence the "Money" persona. He'd rather be a villain so people will hate him and watch to see him lose. He forgot that some people would rather stream to see him lose. Saving money in the process.

There was talk but no further action you ****ing ******, fact is Guerrero did everything right to get into a mandantory position, you already got told this by boxed ears but you continue to repeat yourself like a broken record.

It was a mando opponent, Guerrero did everything right to get in position for the shot. It's not Floyd's fault he's a man amongst opponents who are boys or that when you outclass most in your own weight division that people are clamouring for you to move up.
