Can we admit Floyd and Pac need each other and real boxing fans need them to keep boxing in the mainstream?

If Pac had destroyed Marquez like projected more people would of tuned in to see Floyd fight Guerrero. Just to make sure he won so they could look forward to the mythical match.

Floyd's next fight will do even less if Pacquaio gets destroyed by Rios. This guy might as well just forget about September unless it's Canelo.

Just weight for Pac and pray he comes back strong.

I watching the fights with casuals and Floyd looks so unstoppable they they don't see no one beating him, and that equals a bore fest.

I said PBF and Pac losing would be bad for the sport in a thread a couple of weeks ago. Boxing needs superstars and the young guns arent ready yet.

They will be forever linked, however, it's more of a bad taste left in all boxing fans for their fight never came off.

    I think I see what you're saying.

It just may be the "Pac 1/2" of the normal 1.5 mil that could care less anymore to watch Floyd. AND Im sure a lot of Floyds casuals lost some inters with the Big Rivalry being dead.

You actually understand most people just speak based on who they like. People still bring up a fight possibility even after Pac's loss

only people bringing it up are casuals who dont really follow the sport, diehards dont even mention it because its pointless.Floyd would get 0 credit beating him now

Something like that. Everybody needs a nemesis. I almost wish Floyd like Guerrero get more punches in. Fans have to believe theres somebody out their that can beat you.

Unfortunately, Mayweather's legacy will always be lightly tarnished with the missed opportunity of fighting Pacquiao, and the sad video posts by him claiming he favors his health and well being over fighting a certain fighter lol.

Still, i think he can redeem a decent amount by getting a fight w/ Pacquiao next spring, even if Pacquiao loses to Rios

You're right, but the sport still needs casual. They're are more sports than ever and peoples attention spans are short. It's good for all future fighters

I'm sayin uo until 2007 or so, other than the Super Fights, 400K was considered kickin ass in ppvs. This rivalry with huge followings on both sides had both fighters conrinually bringing in over a mil every fight.

That's because to a large degree fans of the "other team" would buy in too to see what the "other teams" showing was like. Lots of those buyers could no longer give a ****, for obvious reasons. ..
