Sam would certainly be a good fitness conditioner, at least.

Ike Quartey is as technically solid as they come, and I think he could push guys to the next level.

Tito Trinidad. He really knew how to think in the ring and change up his game plan if something wasn't working.

you beat me to it man. :good:good:good:good Toney was so relaxed and subtle, but then again that may be one of those styles that will be very hard to reproduce.

Also I'd like to see Miguel Cotto as well. At 140lbs his punching fundamentals were absolutely phenominal. He had textbook compact power punching with an amazing mix of speed all mixed up.

One thing he could possibly be useful for. Revealing the secret on how to fight 12 rounds without tiring and how to throw one of the most perfect left hooks ever seen in the ring! :happy

    Kostya Tszyu
    Marco Antonio Barrera

All articulate and smart guys, I think they'd recognise each fighter's individual characteristics and work with that

Agree with many of the mentions, but I'll also throw in Glen Johnson. I don't know about his knowledge, but purely from the perspective that overachievers tend to make the better trainers, Gavin Rees might be another good one.

Kosta Tszyu And Casamayor are great choices. They both have ridiculous amateur experience, those are the type of guys that you want in there coaching fighters from a young age!

Calzaghe wouldn't be the best trainer, his technique is pretty horrible. He slaps to be honest.

A fighter like Juan Manuel Marquez would be pretty good I reckon, he has excellent technique and fundamentals. He is also a very good strategist.

Fighters who are athletic phenomenoms aren't usually good trainers. For example Willie Pep was a pretty crappy trainer. They find it hard to comprehend that what came so to easy to them doesn't come easily to others.

Freddie Roach is the best fighter turned trainer at the moment. He was trained by the greatest trainer of all time in Eddie Futch and he must have picked up on the way Futch used to train people. Roach is very good.

Expanding on this one then, who do you feel is the best trainer in boxing currently. I don't know too many American trainers to be honest, but the best ones over there appear to be the Mayweather clan, plus the likes of Manny Steward, Freddie Roach etc.

Whilst over here we have the Ingles, Oliver Harrison, Robert McCracken, Billy Graham and Enzo Calzaghe.
