What has roach said badly about cotto outside of the build up for the Pacquiao fight?

There are tougher options for alvarez and he will be a big favourite in this fight. i love watching cotto though and it may prove to be canelo's toughest fight to date.
As for floyd moving up to fight alvarez, it would be a mistake, personally i think the size diffrence is too great. floyd at 154 is about as big as he can/could get. alvarez is still only 22 and by the time hes floyds age i fully expect him to be boxing at a higher weight than he is at now, alvarez could easily fight at a higher weight than he is now. point is alvarez would have a huge size advantage against mayweather

Floyd already said he doesn't mind fighting bigger guys, he's been doing it all his life.

I don't agree, just because Khan mentioned that he needed more defense and left him.. look at Khan, he is still getting rocked.

He's simply been in contact with his agents. I don't think they'll hook up.

Roach would probably be a decent stylistic fit though. Blends defensive maneuvers into his offensive drills very well (slipping and throwing simultaneously, changing the angle, etc.

Pedro was the guy Cotto originally wanted after his falling out with Evangelista, but Pedro wasn't comfortable, so he got Steward to learn from until Pedro was ready. Can't guess why Pedro left but if it was because of Cotto's work ethic I'm not surprised. Odd he would bounce though. It seems Cotto's trying to learn from and build upon different trainers.

From the Trout fight, it appeared that they didn't have a good training camp this time around.

personally its a step to far for me alvarez would be the biggest. fight night hes normally 165lbs and he walks around at around 180lbs in between fights apprently. hes a big guy, a very big guy who will in time move up to fight in much higher weight classes

I don't see Cotto doing much except taking another beat down. I use to love watching him box but now it is sad.

He has heart but I just hate to see him take another beating. He needs a good tune up fight or two prior to this match. I wish him well.

Cotto can make it competitive just like vs Trout and May but I don't see him winning since he's been a shot fighter. I don't want to see Cotto get hurt either. Good fight though.

Roach knows Cotto, I think it would be a good match up. Cotto is an offensive fighter. I actually think Cotto's style is the type of fighter Roach would do well with.

If Ariza is included with his team, I think they would do well. You've seen the result when Pacquiao and Khan didn't go with Ariza's training - KTFO.

Roach already knows his weaknesses, he can improve Cotto in those areas. He probably needs more time training with Roach and Ariza if he wants to win.
