No, one is a 26 year 2 time world champ.

He has 3 losses in 31 fights. 1 when he was 21 against Prescott, 1 in a disputed points decision against the guy who is ranked No.1 in the division, who was roided up at the time. The other time against the guy,who is arguably No.2 in the division.

Prescott got schooled by Kevin Mitchell.

Im pretty sure they're on 2 different levels, even after what has happened to Khan.

What was Diaz's record in his last 11 fights?

You're isolating only a particular 2-year stretch in Khan's career. What about the year or so before that, when some people weren't even sure he was good enough to beat an ancient Barrera? Or how about the time since losing to Garcia? A rematch with Prescott would've been ideal and justifiable during either of those stretches.

Prescott may be a fringe contender at best, but he's still shown himself to be a dangerous and troublesome opponent even in fights that he loses. Against Alvarado, he smashed in his face and was ahead for most of the way before being stopped in the last round. The last time Khan fought an unbeaten prospect, he was embarrassed far worse than Prescott was against Alvarado or even Crawford.

Honestly, what justification is there to bypass Prescott in favor of Molina or Diaz? Prescott would've been the ideal opponent in either of those instances - a journeyman "comeback" opponent, but who could also be marketed as an actual threat and even enhance Khan's legacy.

Prescott would be a bad stylistic matchup for Khan regardless of how many other opponents outbox him IMO. He's tall enough to match Khan's height, tough enough to take his punch, and hits hard enough to rattle his chin with almost any punch.

Look at 0:33 of the vid, where he buckles Khan's legs just with a jab! He just looks like the perfect foil for Khan. Any notion that Khan has "nothing to prove" about this fight is a joke IMO - especially in light of his last fight against a decent opponent.

Agreed on all points. A rematch with Prescott makes more sense than the fights Khan did take, and likely would have made much more money.

I agree, he probably would beat Khan now again. But to say Khan ducked him, is stupid. All Prescott's been doing since his win over him is losing. He gave Khan -- who was winning and making his way to the top -- a reason to not bother with him. He fell so far off the radar, than even a Khan coming off two losses didn't even need to bother with him .

Yeah. A couple of years ago I'd have laughed at this, but now I really think he would have a big chance of stopping him.

prescott has done almost nothing since khan. Surely this fight is a step back if it happened? i mean yeah prescott has the power to knock out khan, but all prescott does is try and land power shots. we could get an overweight ricky hatton in the ring swinging at khan, he could probably KO khan without even hitting the gym and it would generate more intrest! doesnt mean it should happen though....

i have no doubt if he did fight prescott again he UD him and hand him a schooling. may be a good way to drum up intrest in Khan, showing him get 'retribution'.

I thought at this point Prescott was completely done and basically a journeyman. But the Khan who fought Diaz and the Prescott who got outboxed by that kid, I forgot his name, but Prescott did not look absolutely awful or anything, he just simply got frustrated and outboxed but he still had his dangerous wild swings that look like if he lands them, he can hurt a guy. If those two versions of them fight each other, I think it would be an exciting fight. I didn't think so after the Alvarado fight where Prescott got knocked out late after he was winning.

I think Khan vs Prescott II right now is still an interesting fight. Both of them kinda fell off after their first fight, with Khan having more success but still showing he's chinny in every other fight.

I'd like to see this fight now, but it has to happen now, not when Prescott has 10 losses or suffers more defeats. I don't see GBP or Team Khan making that fight though.

Khan lost the fight and as a loser he should give a rematch? I've been laughing my ass of with this **** for years. Makes no sence. Just because Khan went to the bigger and better things when Prescott faced his limits and couldn't do **** with his career?

Khan could have fought him in Manchester, but decided to face Paul McCloskey instead. The rematch with Prescott would have been a much bigger fight, and he'd have made more money.

I personally think that Amir is psychologically scarred. He couldn't wait to fight Kindelan again when he turned pro. I don't think he wants to fight Prescott.
