How can any boxing fan complain about this fight? Either you're a blind Mayweather fanboy or just hate for Pac or Rios but one thing is for certain you'll be watching this fight.

This is the kind of match-up boxing fans dream about. We're guaranteed a war whether it lasts 3 rounds or 12. People seem to forget that Pac is coming off a brutal KO and may not be the same, to go in against a puncher like Rios is pretty brave.

The fight will be the end of the bigtime for the loser, everthing will be on the line for each fighter and they'll go at each other hard from the opening bell. This will be the closest fight we've had for a while that's like Corrales vs Castillo.

Lets not forget that fight night weights RIOS will be significantly bigger then Pac by 5 to 10 lbs. Maybe Alvarado deserved the fight but lets not forget that Rios beat him pretty conclusively in their first fight and his team didn't want the rematch but were forced into it by Toprank and HBO so i have no problem Rios is fighting instead of Alvarado as it's a more exciting match-up anyway style wise.

Give me 1 round of Pac-Rios over 12 rounds of Mayweather-Guerrero anyday!

    Thoughts?

Awesome style match up thats for sure. That is, if Pac hasn't been completely changed by his knockout to Marquez.

    Yeah agreed on all points.

Its a great point you raise about the consequences of losing for either fighter..probably more so for Pacquaio..

Yeah this is a great match up...there is almost no chance this wont be exciting...

Floyd fanboys really are salivating this fight but won't admit it openly. Fact. Cause they're sick of watching their guy pot shot all night. Bet some of them booed last Saturday.

you answered it in the 1st sentence. Its pure Hate.

If any other fighter chose Rios in there 1st fight back from being ko'd cold, they'd be applauded.

Not to mention stylistically this is a brilliant fight.

Surefire action fight..the outcome is obvious, but this is a fight you watch for the fight, outcome be damned.

I think the backlash is due to the criticism Mayweather receives on some of his opponents. Since Pacquaio is fighting a somewhat questionable opponent (in terms of experience at 147), the Floyd supporters are going on the offensive. Personally I think it's a great fight, it'll be a lot of fun.

I am a bit scared that Rios might KO Pacquiao.
I doubt his punch resistance will be the same and lets just pray that he gives it his best in training.
It would be a sad ending to a great career.

It's maybe exciting but the only chance Rios has of winning is that Pacquiao has declined A LOT and that his chin is completely shot. If this fight is a war than Pac-Margarito should have been too but Pacquiao is just too good and will completely destroy Rios if he's still the same. I care more for seing tough fights than exciting of course they should be both but Rios has about as much chance of winning as Guerrero did

criticism was deserved for that one.

Floyd is number one in the sport and still undefeated. No one was asking for Guerrero. Floyd deserved the criticism.

If Manny beats Rios, expect him to jum right back in with someone more credible.

This should be an easy fight for Pacquiao; that's what the hate is about.

Manny has graduated past this level of opposition and needs to be taking on complete fighters. Why not just move back down to 140 and try to make a few fights there?

I'll watch the fight cause I'm a boxing fan, and I never miss a big event if I can help it

But I'm not paying for this ****, and if Pac doesn't stop him early (or at all) it shows 1 of 2 things, either there's a serious decline in his ability, or he was never that good in the first place...

U *******s making these threads aren't fooling anyone
