I prefer Whitaker tbh but Loma is on the tier just below IMO. Whitaker is Top 20 ATG.

I'm not going to go as far as comparing him to Whitaker, clearly that's crazy talk at this stage with what Whitaker achieved in the game

However if your interested in learning more about what he can do in the ring; watch the below fight; his last out in the WSB against Valentino, a former world amatuer champion. It gives an idea of his level of skill, the move he pulls at about 19.55 on the vid for instance is just immaculate. Round 2-4 shows what he can do the most.

Whether people might be going overboard I can't see how any boxing fan can't watch this fight and not be a little excited as to what Lomachenko can do in the pro ranks

My point exactly. Featherweights using 10 oz gloves  yet we can extrapolate how great he is at taking punches from world class pro fighters.

Seen the fight and he looks nice, but it's nice against low grade comp. Not saying he sucks, but pro boxing is just as much about how you handle other great opponents and their power, just as much as it is about offensive output. How does his body and head hold up to taking punches from bigger, stronger, faster guys with smaller gloves? Is his power effective enough to damage guys in the top of the pro ranks? His defense looks ok, but that's against sub-par pro competition.

The ramblings by the OP are more on the level blatant man love than they are of any real critical assessment.

In otherwords, you dont got any proof for that bogus statement.

  9. He ain't a feather weight. He's 5'8 and walks around at 160.
    He gonna dominate 130-160.

  10. I do the eye test.
Mang why you hating on a brotha?

I don't agree with opening post, or the extent it goes, but your overcompensating to go against it too.

Yes there is question marks over what he can do at the top level in the pro game, any reasonable person will state that clearly. We need to see how his stamina is over 12, how good his chin is and his level of power, the majority of people aren't arguing that.

What is clear as day is he technically excellent, brilliant footwork, fast and picks his punches well. Frankly to describe his defence as only OK is as crazy as some of the things said on this thread trying to build Lomachenko up, it's clearly excellent.

It's perfectly fair in my opinion to say this kid has amazing talent, that does not mean he will definetly reach the top, as there is intangabiles we don't know the answer to yet with Vasyl, but there's enough to be very excitied about what he has in his locker and to think he can go far. Time will tell

He will. He thinks because Rigondeaux had sucess then Lomanchenko will too!

Lomanchenko has to be the boxing truth, like Rigondeaux is though...

 No. He's 5'7 and most of his opponents at 130lbs look bigger than him, he sure as **** doesnt walk around at 160lbs smh. He'll never be a WW, i would be suprised if he got to 140lbs.

  15. WTF. God damn it dude.

How the **** is he gonna go up to 147?
