Ryan James cannot do 3 tackles in a row without the prolonged flop which more often than not results in a penalty. He is at max a 20 min block player at NRL level and probably wouldnt last 15 good mins in origin. He has an origin feel about him but he needs a few more yrs yet.

 

I just look at that squad and laugh...too many knights, sharks, tigers and roosters in it

Newcastle again look average, and I reckon they're done for the year. Bennett worked wonders building a dynasty with Brisbane, and then turning the dragons into a top team wilhile winning a comp along the way, yet he's struggling big time with the knights.
He's bought in some garbage too. Fa'alogo, Mason etc are very un-Bennett like type signings.

So glad now that he didn't go to us. Would have costed an arm and a leg, failed probably, and I would have continued to believe that we were cursed.

 

Actually Souths have been lucky about 2 things in the past few years. Not getting Bennett who would have cost a fortune and Parramatta pinching Sandow from you giving him 550k per year. If that didn't happen Reynolds may of gone elsewhere.

 

If Reynolds did sign on for the high 400's we were offering him, I still think McGuire would have went with Reynolds at some stage. We wouldn't have been able to buy some other players though, like Teo, etc

 

Let's be real, the Broncos are dodgy as ****, they had some of the greatest players of the eras and somehow have always been under the cap by doing 3rd party payments.

So any decent coach could exploit these great players and have varied success. Dragons also had a ****ing great team on paper, but couldn't ever solidify themselves.

Now he goes to the Knights with less than stellar players and he struggles big time, so he buys up big whatever players he wants, and still the struggle. I will not be one bit surprised to see him run back to Broncos after his contract is up.
