Guerrero did do better than both Marquez and Baldomir, and quite a few other guys too.

It means very little to nothing though.

Doug Jones did far greater against Ali than Foreman or Liston did.

Nah, I see why you would think that but Floyd was comfortable by the 3rd rd.(I have watched it a few times since I dvr'd it live on Saturday)

By rd 8 , especially the last minute, Floyd was in TKO mode but he had already figured Roberts gameplan out(if there was one) and had been comfortable. He is just a very patient fighterwho really doesn't go into beast mode until you either hurt him (see Mosley fight), he hurts you early (See Ortiz fight the way he begin the 4th rd as he had hurt Vic in the 3rd) or after breaking you down (See Hatton fight)

Guerrero actually won more total rounds against Mayweather than any Mayweather opponent since Oscar. That's not to say it was Mayweather's toughest fight since Oscar, but going strictly by total rounds won, it's the most success anyone has had against Mayweather since 2007. It goes to show just how difficult it is to win rounds against Mayweather.
