Why is Smith v Dodson in London?

The same reason why you would have your (Former) Scottish World Champion headline London shows, I assume.

Adding this to a bigger show make sense! Two good fights plus chisora v wilder hopefully on the bill!

Reckon must be ***** can sell high priced ringside for London shows. He has no interest in small shows at the moment so no point saving Smith-Dodson for Liverpool I suppose.

****** seems to have developed an obsession with putting on a big show in London, first in December, then in March and now June. December turned into a standard domestic show, March was put back to April with half the original card missing and now this show. He's even moved fighters away from home like Burns and Cleverly to make these shows.

This is part of ******'s problem, he seems to only be able to have one or two big projects at a time. At the moment it's Cleverly, Chisora and having a big show in London.

This show could have been done outdoors, maybe at Prenton Park, Anfield or Goodison with the right promotion. Butler can sell out 2,000 at the Olympia, Smith-Dodson was at the Echo first time round, Gavin's a decent ticket seller and I'm sure Vassell and Chisora could sell a few too. Add the undercard to that and you have the option of a full house at the Echo or a few thousand more outdoors. Although, some of the people that would buy tickets for Butler may also buy tickets for Smith or Dodson and vice versa, so I may have over estimated with the crowd.

Think it would do even less this time round, both fighters have become pretty irrelevant.

I don't mean Smith-Dodson on it's own, I mean the whole Wembley card, like I said, I was probably over estimating and I don't have much knowledge of how many tickets Smith and Dodson sell. By a stadium fight, I meant that at best guess it could do 12,000-14,000, not sell out the whole ground. I always thought that Smith-Dodson sold out the first time, but I wasn't a boxing fan then so I don't know, think I saw someone mention it somewhere.

They all are trying to sell to the same fan base though. It's not 4.5k to smith fight then a separate 2k for Butler. Those 2k Butler fans more than likely are also in the 4.5 smith fans too.
